UKCPS So called 'Car parking managment'

Ok, i have noticed that there is a lot of conversation about this subject, i recently parked in a disabled bay at a huge outlet center, and although i am not disabled and would not usually not do such a thing, it was 10pm at night and i was picking up a meal i had ordered, there were loads of disabled spaces available so parked directly outside for time and ease, i was in and out within two minuets, by the time i had come out i had a ticket.
Ignoring it for a while now i have now had a court summons.
They are 'demanding' i pay £175 for parking in this bay, which is a total joke, even the council would not do that to me so im sure as hell not going to give some scammer the money, however, i did recieve a letter from:
Money Claim Online
Northampton County Court
21-27 St Katherine's street
Northampton
NN1 2LH
Which all seems a bit legit, however, is it part of there scam also?
Can anybody shed some light, anything would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Probably a real effort in the hope of scaring you into paying now, or getting a default judgment if you ignore it. But potentially it means there's a real small Claim planned so you MUST NOT ignore this.

Post about it here on pepipoo, register and start your own thread:

    It is like this one:

...but that's just to show you that you are not the only one and posters there can help. Do not post on that thread, start your own on there asap.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You should have a password on the claim form so you can log on to MCOL and check if it is legit.

He do have a habit of issuing for disabled bay misuse (in his mind)

The Blue Badge scheme doesn’t apply to private car parks. Anyone, who’s disabled under the terms of The Equality Act 2010 can use a disabled parking bay. If they’re also Blue Badge holders, they don't need to display it.

This contravenes the terms & conditions for the car park. But, as the terms & conditions for the car park usually state that you shouldn't park in a disabled bay without displaying a badge, these contravene The Equality Act.

So, if the form is genuine, a court will be the perfect place for all of this to come out.

also please keep us updated with your thoughts on all of this as well as how things go, there have been cases where parking companies have had an employee go off on some fantasy story and posted it on here to scare others.

Why is the Answer to post on Peipoo ? The OP has come here for help, have you actually seen some of the twaddle posted on that forum ?
The same advice can be offered here !
Often by the same people without the hundred or so idiots.

As with all UKCPS threads be very wary of any private messages you might receive, especially from members with a lost post count. It might be somebody from the parking company trying to glean information from you.

I am a member of both forums (fora?) and can confirm that neither MSE nor Pepipoo can claim to be twaddle free zones.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
