Credit Card Junk mail

If like me you are sick of junk mail simply remove and destroy any personal info, pop the rest back into the pre paid envelope and post it back. You could even send them the stuf you get that comes without pre paid envelopes. You will have less rubbish in your bin, help to reduce the burden of waste disposal on your local council. Irritate the people who send you the C*~P in the first place and if enough people join in, create some overtime for the post office workers. Just don't send anything offensive or dangerous.

I'm sure its not that irratating for them0

Or you could just register here http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/ to stop it from being sent in the first place...0

Or if it does turn up, rather than spending time getting annoyed over it, blanking out your details, putting it all back into envelopes, going to post box etc, just put it in shredder/bin0

I love it when any junk mail merchant sends me a prepaid envelope they get it all back plus any rubbish I have lying around. If we start getting charged for the weight of rubbish we chuck away more people will do this I think0

What I really hate is when they send you a wodge of cheques to use. I don't know why they do this, as if you wanted to buy something, you would use the b...... card in the first place.
I've had mail go missing and I worry some thief somewhere will get hold of these unasked for cheques and as they have my name, account number etc on them will find it all too easy to use them.
Rachelif i had known then what i know now0 -

Totally agree - I had thought it was against the law now to send these cheques but it seems I am wrong. Perhaps there was just a suggestion that it should be made illegal but not actually put into legislation.0 -

Fine if you don't care about the planet.
for those that do then
1) sign up to mps
2) opt out of royal mail "door to door" leaflets
3) Make sure you tick the box not to pass your details to 3rd parties if you give anyone your address
4) Don't enter pointless competition i.e. don't gove away your personal details unless you really need to
5) If any organisation is really bothering you then call (or email) them and ask to be taken off their distribution list.
Much better for the planet than just binning it (and putting up everyone else's council tax bills in the process).0 -

Bit OTT there! and anyway, think you missed first 6 words of my post. If they are not sent to me, they will only be sent to someone else so dont really think it's going to put a gigantic hole in ozone layer. By opting out of the mailing lists they are not going to print 999,999 leaflets rather than 1,000,0000 -
Next time you fill in the electoral role you can opt out of schemes where by when they sell the list you will not be included but obviously you are still on the actual electoral roll.
Plus on some credit cards you can simply write to an address on the back stating you do not wish to receive more blanks cheques.

What I do is scribble out my name and add return to sender on the letter and pop back in the post.Kind Regards
