Another thing I can add is that most interviewers (correct me if I'm wrong woopisequeen) ask the questions "What would you say are your strengths?" and "what are your weaknesses?". That's the question most people get stuck on and stutter out some reply that does them no favours. Be prepared in case.

Absolutely ..and its a good idea to have something that makes you stand out from the crowd..so as Tigerwhite says be prepared. I've often had people give me a load of guff at this point and its so obvious. Also another favourite question is "how would your friends describe you?"..one guy answered "irresistible babe magnet who's fun to be around and a real party animal"...guess the outcome of that interview !
    If it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly! ;)

    Well said!

What I personally don't like is when someone constantly asks questions on here but never gives anything back. I don't mind lurkers lurking and I don't mind regulars asking the odd question when they need our help.

I'll probably get slated for this but hey ho....

.....you raise a very good point re: car boot sales. If a newbie posted that they had taken advantage of all the bargains on here and then mentioned that they made a nice amount of cash at the car boot, it wouldn't go down too well. But if a regular posts about their bargains and then goes to a car boot then no-one raises an eyebrow.

I personally will never sell any 1p/glitched/cheap items due to coupons at a car boot sale. I will always guesstimate the amount that I will need which includes items that I know family, friends and neighbours will appreciate to receive. Yes, I know that I have bought some items towards the 100 mark, but I have always used these items myself and in the majority of cases, I have given the items to other people free of charge or given them to the Ghanaian children.

I, personally, would feel a bit guilty if I had stashed items/hauls that were building up resulting in a trip to the car boot sale. Firstly, this would be because I will have deprived other regular MSErs and lurkers from obtaining a true bargain. Secondly, I wouldn't feel happy from the profit, mainly due to the first reason above.

Please, please, please remember that this is only what I think. I don't hold grudges for people that do the above. I realise that other people have no problems and wouldn't feel guilty doing this, which is fine by me.

    We are all different.

A world full of karlie88s would be boring. We all need a bit of Miss Laid, Best price, FK, queen of cheap, LTF, QPR, lookingforabragain, tigerwhite, lala, purdita, HC84, Enterprise, emmlouie, Laura Cello, F_C, Tiny, woopsiequeen, izzeyb, streetlights, snap, issyc, wackynut, midwinter, bananababe, mad, FQ, meerkatsmimm, Rooted Nomad, dreamerbea, westie, rhosynbach, michjay, tweets, freddie flyers, worry-wart, mhoc, locarr, neosi, ellzx, calmspirit, chanderscorft, floflo, aau, nerfdad, JJ, call of trouty, motherbear, cattysmum, celebrate, 3Dogs.........

....and the hundreds of other regulars plus the other few thousand lurkers.

    :)

Now tell us what that glitch at Asda is.

    :D
Is it just me that gets happy at seeing that we've made a list, whether fudge cakes (hope you are ok) or someone else's?

Are we all a little narcissistic?

I think each thing is a personal choice, for each 1 of us that will do 1 thing there are loads of others doing whatever sits right with them, last carboot sale there was at least 8 stalls selling T's stuff from socks to OEP I asked each 1 if they were a friend of Martin? All of them looked at me oddly, so either they didn't want to admit it or they do not use this website.

I gave away all the socks my O/H wouldnt use to a homeless charity, the same charity wouldnt take the OEP wraps as they didnt have a long enough date, so I sold them cheaply on the boot sale :)
