That used to annoy me as well. Sold my iPhone 4 last week and should be getting a nice new S3 in the next couple of weeks :)

TheGoodMan knows very well that the iPhone groups texts together, so if i were you i wouldn't bother entertaining his nonsense.

Still, at least it's promising regarding the S2 & S3. I'm currently waiting on the iPhone5 to come out to see whether i should replace my 3GS with a SGS2 or a SGS3.

Why would you need to wait for iPhone 5 to come out before you can buy S2 or S3?

What's the point of trying to time stamp all text messages with the same information if received within the same minute? With the Android example two text messages have the same information. If you compare both photos the iPhone one look much clear, easy to read and use.

Both photos have the same information but iPhone screen is clean and easy to read. This kind of small things with the iOS make it better then others.

    Think about it a little....

I'm waiting on the iPhone 5 coming out so that i can see how it compares to the S2 & S3 before i buy. If i buy the S2/S3 now, the iPhone 5 may blow them out of the water & i'd be disappointed by buying early. If i wait then i wont have that problem.

Your next question is likely why i'm undecided between the S2 & S3 (although maybe it isn't, as anything non-Apple & you're auto-uninterested). This is because i'm still not sure whether the S3 is too big for my liking or not. The S2 is a nice size, but the S3 looks & feels huge.

I'd LIKE the iPhone 5 to be the better choice, as it'd just be easier, but i want to see what it offers first.

Ok. It's good to try a few phones and see what you like.
Also I have S3 which I think is too big to use as a main phone.
If I was to use Android as a main phone the size of s2 is perfect for me anything bigger is too big. Some people like the size of XL S3 and even XXL Note. Always check the phone to make sure you are happy. You will be using it for around two years.

I was all geared up for the launch of the S3. I'd pretty much decided i was going to get it, even though i was going to wait on the iPhone 5 to see what it brought.

But when i saw the S3 in the flesh, i was disappointed - only by its size. I'm not a woman, so i wont have a bag to put it in - it'll be going in my pocket, but it's huge. It's pretty much my only concern about the S3, yet it's enough of a concern to make me consider opting for the S2 instead.

I hope Apple don't go silly with the screen size. It's not all about who has the biggest screen. S2 was perfect size, i agree with you there.

I think extra large phones are passing phase same as laptops, a few years back 17 inc and bigger laptops were getting very popular. After while many people moved down to 13 or 15 inc laptop due to size and difficult to carry.

Same with phones, I think, the extra lage phones look good when you see the demo in the shop, also you are aleady looking forward to a new phone, however after some use you may not like the device due to size or way it works but too late to change for around two years.

I don't think IPhone will go same size as S3. Apple knows that by moving to extra large phones it might get a few new customers but will loss many. Might even be able to do 4inc screen in a phone same size as 4s?

Sorry but thats not true. My Iphone has the latest OS and in the image I posted the messages came over a maybe ten minute period, they certainly were not in the same minute.

It's a known feature of iOS. It's not bad, you can look at the text message list to see the last text message to see the last ones time, and the phone must record them it just doesn't display them per message.

It's either down to a set time elapsing (seems abourt 15 mins), or maybe you leaving the messaging app so your not having a continuious conversation, never quite work out which.

Don't bother explaining, thegoodman won't hear a word against iOS.
