Meh...it's a shocking rip-off of a business model, however it is explained. Still think 'indemnity' = FSA regulation needed.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

N.B. All opinions posted in this post are mine and mine alone. They do not represent the opinions of the owners or operators of this website.

We should all be aware that some PPC victims are somewhat reluctant to believe that such widespread and blatant operations as PPC mickey mouse 'fines' have no basis in law, and arguably constitute criminal offences. A scheme (some might chose to pronounce the word differently) which makes the PPC ticket 'go away' at a lower cost than the PPC are demanding could be beneficial to such PPC victims.

That said, I can find no altruism in Mr Doyle's 'scheme'. I also consider it to be very misleading. A reasonable person could perhaps be forgiven for thinking that like PPC ticketing operations, Mr Doyle's 'scheme' is intended to pressure naive and gullible people into paying money for no good reason, by misleading them as to the true nature of the PPC ticketing system.

Mr Doyle tells us that his website provides clear links for those that wish to tackle the PPCs themselves. Perhaps Mr Doyle can tell us where on his site he has hidden those clear links? On the FAQ page, there is a section entitled "Can't I challenge my PCN myself?" - which basically says that you could but that they have over 30 years experience of dealing with traffic law (whatever that has to do with penalty clauses under contract law), implying that the man in the street without all those years of experience could not hope to deal with it themselves.

Mr Doyle's site seems to utterly fail to point out that there is no need to actively challenge PPC tickets. If as he claims he is being altruistic, perhaps he should start by pointing out how simple it is to ignore these groundless invoices, point to the standard letter chains, and sites giving free advice on PPC tickets, and only then offer his scheme for those that really don't have the intestinal fortitude to ignore the letters?

On the first page, Mr Doyle claims to be leading the fight against unfair tickets. If I was naive and nervous and had received an official looking parking 'fine' from a PPC, the idea of being helped by the person 'leading the fight' against unfair tickets would be very appealing. Which is why I would be far better off either coming here or going to PePiPoo.

Mr Doyle's 'scheme' only makes sense if it provides the PPC victim with peace of mind by stopping them sending their threatogram chain - which he cannot do without an injunction, which he cannot obtain without a practising certificate. As insurance (which apparently isn't insurance because the FSA would jump up and down on his head) against being successfully sued - which is exceptionally unlikely - it is fantastically bad value for money.

I note that under the Terms and Conditions, the victim must not communicate with the PPC else the agreement is void. So the PPC victim, who is sufficiently naive and nervous to pay £25 for this dubious 'scheme' has their hands tied by still having to endure the threatogram chain, but knowing that they cannot even write back to tell the PPC to get lost.

Obviously if I have misunderstood the purpose and/or operation of the 'scheme' I will be happy to retract comments as appropriate should Mr Doyle point out any errors.

I'll undercut you. A mere £20 will buy you my standard "We'll-ignore-it-for-you" service. Under the standard service all new cases are ignored in strict chronological order. But for a mere £10 extra customers can opt for the Premium Luxury Service and can find peace and comfort from knowing that their case has been fasttracked and that the ignoring will start straight away.

I very nearly reposted his post as spam, but decided not to as it was a response to previous comments.

I still find too many similarities to the EHIC application scheme.

I won't be recommending this scheme to anyone.
