  • Another name for them on eBay is dxdeal007. i bought a GPS, DVR, WIFI, front and rearview mirror for my son on a UK only search and, unfortunately, they were the cheapest and had the best rating of approx 99.7. After about 6 weeks, now with a rating of 98.4, I've finally been refunded today and my "immediate refund when they receive it back", took 7 days. They asked me to return it to China and would refund my postage too but my son's local Post Office refused to allow it as it has an internal battery n Chinese customs won't allow it through. Their response to my telling them this was to go to another Post Office or a delivery company but not to tell them it has an internal battery which I completely refused to ask my son to do. They then finally gave me the address everyone in this topic were given which is how i found what they've done so far. This topic is the very first one on Google UK when the address is searched for so I'm guessing it is being clicked on a lot. Oh n I'm going to carry on trying to get my £8.55 recorded, next day before 1pm postage back (Post Office said it can only be sent by the quickest delivery option due to the internal battery) but I very much doubt I will get it now
  • Having read this and other blogs about this address the user name changes from Dresses Online, Stonebridge UK Ltd, Laptop Batteries, AcerLaptopBatteries, Stone Bridge United and that's just the few I found in a 5 minute search. I have just ordered batteries, one arrived the other didn't and guess what, no response from any of the email addresses. The best I can ascertain is that the phone number is a high rate line. The common thread seems to be 'Stephen', with the family name changing on a regular basis. How come after 4 years this address has not been properly investigated, at least by the Customs and Excise for imported Lithium Ion batteries?

Looks like this is now the address for ebatterys.co.UK
I unfortunately ordered a replacement battery for my Samsung tablet from this firm. The advertised price was £26.98 which was quite dear but they offered a 3 year warranty etc. I went to the PayPal site to pay. The price I thought I was paying was £26.98 however once I had completed the purchase I noticed I had somehow been charged £48.97. They had charged me for 2 batteries. I also noticed the text above the order was in Chinese. I immediately got on to PayPal who say they will contact ebatterys to ask for a refund for half of the sum. A quick google for ebatterys reveals a tale of woe from purchasers. Their website gives the impression they are a British firm however purchasers report that returns have to be made to China and there seem to be a lot of customers who wish to return goods. They say they have an office in Portsmouth, incidentally the unit from which edresses operated from. The only company registered there is Stone Bridge United, a freight company with one Chinese director and an address in Hong Kong. I received no confirmation of purchase or order no from ebatterys. I expect to have a long battle now with PayPal. A warning from someone who thought he was web savvy to always go to reviews of sites you ate not familiar with before making any purchase.

I need to return an item from a company on Amazon market place called UUTOPSHOP1986, they gave me an address for returns - so I googled it and found this thread.
They say to send it back Royal mail with a tracking number so they can refund the purchase plus return shipping.
Fingers crossed it all goes ok, but have already told them about this thread and as a result will be taking photo's of package and tracking number.
If also else fails I'll try and get a charge back on my credit card

I was going to collect my battery as I live close by, but their address doesn't exist 'Unit E1 Voyager Park, Portfield Road, Portsmouth PO5 5FL, there is E11 with various companies unrelated to computer parts and one registered in Glasgow another dissolved.

Companies House has no UK Registered company named 'HP Laptop Battery' or any derivative; web page had no Trading Name, nor host company or telephone, (DNS check web page hosted by Cloudfare Inc USA). Stone Bridge United Ltd (transport Co) at Unit 10 does exist and various (Chinese) directors have been connected with PO3 5FL, Others have referred to Edresses Gobal UK Co., LTD (now dissolved 2014), but none of the six or more companies I have checked have any trading connection to laptop batteries and Stone Bridge are late in posting accounts.

It could be assumed one or more Chinese directors linked to this address are importing product direct from China, but be careful as many replacement HP batteries are quoted having a lower ma/h or W/h than your original.

Not giving an 'owner' to a business when trading is illegal - stay away from this site, bad news!!!

As this doesn't appear to be a limited company there would not be any record at Companies House.

A business does not need to be a company.

Returns address is UNIT E10 so looks like address on other page is misprint.

We are a distributor specializing in replacement HP laptop battery, replacement Compaq laptop battery and HP laptop AC Adapter.

  • I'm presently trying to get a refund for a battery purchased from BatteryBuy.co.uk. The website says they operate from Unit 1, Explorer Voyager Park, Portfield Road, Portsmouth PO3 5FL, very close to an address mentioned in the thread above. They don't have a UK phone number, just what looks like a number in China (+86 code) and the 'live chat' doesn't work. I'm not getting very far with them via their e-mail at aolisite@hotmail.com so far. The company behind it all seems to be called Aolisite Electronic Co. Ltd . However there's no company of this name at Companies House, and so it looks like perhaps a Chinese operation to me. I wonder if it could be connected with the other battery posts on this thread?

Congratulations for resurrecting a thread over a year old (which was in turn resurrecting a thread over 3 1/2 years old). I'm sure the op has moved on ;)
Must be great to have time for pathetic snide and irrelevant comments.
STONE BRIDGE UNITED LTD. is still trading and is the distribution hub for a large number of chinese and hong kong based online trading companies.
The clampdown on tax evasion has resulted in the companies becoming VAT registered, hopefully they pay all due taxes and are now complying to UK selling regulations.

Must be great to have time and wait nearly 3 and half years to reply :rotfl:
