Back into the swing of things now after holidays:

Sunday - coq au vin with jacket potatoes

    Monday - Pasta Primavera

Tuesday - Out with work. TGI Fridays, so will probably have a salad. NO CHIPS! OH & BiL will have to fend for themselves, ie takeaway most likely!

Wednesday - marinated salmon with noodles & stirfry

    Thursday - Mushroom risotto

Friday - Rugby. May squeeze in a spanish omelette before we go or else it's fish n chips!

Saturday - fish of some description

Easy week this week, as I'm out 2 nights. Saturday's dinner will depend on what we pick up from the market in the morning.

    Sunday - Roast lamb dinner
Monday - eating out for a mystery shop
Tuesday - Chicken leg portions marinated in BBQ sauce
Wednesday - Toad in the hole
    Thursday - Schnitzel
Friday - Sainsburys taste the difference burgers
Saturday - (on my own, so prob just egg and chips, or a cheese sauce pasta)

Most of the meals will be accompanied by potatoes of some variety and I'm terrible with veg, but I will try to do at least one veg with each meal.

that sounds lovely piglet! Do you have a recipe?

To be honest, I don't know it :o because its something that Mr P cooks (he's a chef and I am most definitely not :p :rotfl:, so he does a lot of our cooking - hooray!:j), but I will ask him to write the recipe down and I will post it for you. I'll add it to the end of this thread tomorrow, if Penny Pincher doesn't mind...

    Hi everyone

I've not been even slightly organised this weekend and wrote my list out today over breakfast. Oops. Soo, starting with what we had for dinner tonight...

    Mon: HM Chicken Noodles
    Tues: HM 'Leftover' Rice
    Wed: HM Burgers with Chips
    Thurs: HM Tortilla Wrap Pizzas
    Fri: HM Chicken Tortilla
Sat: DS1 birthday party, so party food

DH's Mum and Dad are staying from Thursday thru Sunday. This time they are NOT changing my dinner plans like they always do. My house, my rules. I've picked things I know they eat and I don't boss them around when we stay at theirs. Okay.... rant over. DH has been warned that the plan stays as it is, so I have backing there too :T

  • I thought id get organised and do my meal planner. There are two adults and one fussy toddler and I’m spending about £100 in tesco every week and it seem to be going up and up, its ridiculous - hopefully this will help me cut down. I thought it would get cheaper as ive joined weight watchers and am dieting, but it seems to have gone worse with my partner eating one meal and me eating something else.

W - Beef Stew done in the slow cooker. (Could be mush by the time I get home from work, as it is my first time using the slow cooker)
T - Pork Chops with Apple Sauce, New Potatoes, Carrots & Peas
F - Turkey (reduced in tesco) Curry & Rice
S - Indian Delivery - (my partners treat for him working long hours)
S - Roast Lemony Garlic Chicken, Stuffing, New Potatoes, Carrot & Swede, Peas & Gravy

Can anyone help me with tips on how to make my own gravy? I always said id never use bisto!

Breakfasts: Cereal, cereal & more cereal. Poached Eggs on sat mornings.

My little boy lives on dinners made on Sunday, liquidised (he gags at lumps) and frozen for in the week and a small portion of what we are having for him to pick at!
