Hi,
Can I join you?
I am feeling inspired to meal plan.
I even baked today - sultana flapjacks and marble cake.
The marble cake is gorgeous, but I forgot to put the sugar in the flapjacks so probably only me that will eat them
Sunday - Roast Lamb, roast pots, yorkies, carrots, runner beans and broccoli
Monday - Lamb Rogan Josh, using left overs, chickpea and spinach curry, rice and naan bread
Tuesday - Jacket potatoes and chilli with salad
Wednesday - Chicken fajitas
Thursday - Beef Casserole, with mash and veg
Friday - Toad in the hole, with bubble and squeak, and onion gravy
Breakfast is cereal, toast etc
Lunches are sandwiches, wraps or soup with flpajack for me
Enjoy your meals

Gosh, you all eat well. My DS1 is very much a creature of habit, so our menu is very (very!) similar to last weeks:
Sun: roast chicken, roast potatoes and carrots, Otherveg (TM) - peas, cauliflower, green beans (this time), gravy. (DH cooked it for a treat)
Mon: mince from the freezer, mashed pots, Otherveg
Tues: cold roast chicken, left over pots (roast and mashed), Otherveg, gravy
Weds: HM pizza
Thurs: HM chicken and sweetcorn pie, Otherveg, gravy
Fri: pasta and sauce - HM carbonara for the children, HM tomatoey sauce for me and DH
Sat: DS2's 4th birthday, so 'party' lunch and his choice of tea - we will see what he comes up with! It will still probably be mostly HM.0 -

Hello everyone
Have not been meal planning for a couple of weeks as DH has been working unpredicatably, but here's my plan for the week (all HM unless it says otherwise):

Tuesday: Slow cooked mutton stew with potato and celeriac mash
Wednesday: Stew leftovers with couscous (bulk up with beans if necc)
Thursday: tuna pasta
Friday: lentil recipe from TWG (can't remember name) as I now have a :heartpuls set of US cup measures :heartpuls from my boys for Mothers' Day
Saturday: away
Lunches: squash soup, celeriac soup, leftovers. That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -
Did have a whole menu plan for the week. Was meant to make shepherds pie last night and one for the freezer.
Made toad in the hole for lunch and when OH refused to make gravy (bearing in mind I'd spent an hour preparing and cooking dinner and over 5 hours on saturday in the kitchen and he'd not even made a cup of tea), I went on strike. So OH had a cheese sandwich for tea as I went to bed with a migraine. He had already finished off all the flapjacks without leaving me any at all.
Have no idea what it was meant to be tonight but now it will be scrambled egg on toast or beans on toast. Should mean the food in the freezer lasts longer.
I do not work full time all week so that I can spend my entire weekend cooking (while he watches rugby, football and F1) with not even a cup of tea made for me, let alone a plate or cup actually put into the empty dishwasher!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
