Sounds like O2 have joined up to the call centers of 3. Worrying!0

Lol. You must be right0

You may not like the reply you got but it's probably a standard procedure, it probably works in some cases and weeds out the simple problems before moving them to 2nd/3rd level technical support.
Insulting the call center person for following procedure or not being gramattically correct is not the right way to get an error logged. Be calm and polite and when they ask you to do it do it and then when it won't work it should get escalated.0 -
To be fair, it's not simply grammatically incorrect, it's borderline gibberish.0

absolutely. I'm sorry but
"Okay that is phone which can stuck as this is machine."
isn't a meaningful sentence in the English language.
I am becoming increasingly angry with companies which use foreign call centres where the staff's ability to use English is questionable at best.
I have a huuuuge problem with Virgin Media because their TV/broadband support lines have this problem. Now I've switched my mobile from Vodafone to O2, I have discovered I have the problem with O2 as well.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
Ok, so maybe you weren't given the best explanation. This is my undertsanding:
Your phone is in constant contact with different cell sites and from time to time your sim card can become "stuck" on the network meaning that the phone is not communicating with the different cell sites correctly. Ways in which you can fix this are to do a "manual roam" meaning that you manually select the network which you want the phone to connect to e.g select Orange. Your phone will show as having only Emergency Calls. Return to network settings and switch your phone back to O2 and the issue should be resolved.
There are also ways in which the network can correct this issue using their own systems.
Cheers

Lots of people feel the same about foreign call centres but then they also want the cheapest deal. If you want UK call centres you have to accept that its a more expensive option and something that you wont get with the cheapest providers0

I would always pay more to have English call centres.
If I get an Indian on the end, I always say, put me through to someone in the UK please.
Usually they just say I have to keep calling until I get a UK one.
Which I always do.:T0 -

Well tbh...O2 is the most expensive network lol0 -
It was a general comment rather than one specifically aimed at O20
