err, I think you are supposed to drink the vodka afterwards
This was a good "con" in a pub, get barmaid to dunk ring in a tot, bit of bluff, then down the free tot :beer:When an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
She's t-total, which is why the OH goes quite pale! He thinks ammonia would do the job just as well and she could give the voddie to him, not that he's only thinking of himself or anything!:rotfl:err, I think you are supposed to drink the vodka afterwards

My Mum (& her Mum before her) always soaks gold rings with stones in drop of gin. Guess it's the alcohol that softens the skin oils that bind the grot & detritus together, hence why voddy works too...suppose you could use any clear spirit. Gentle tickle with an old toothbrush to loosen the stubborn bits & then a buff with a clean soft cloth.0

I have the same jewellery cleaner that I had 12 years ago when I got my ring but I also turn the stone in my ring around to face the palm of my hand and make sure I give it a good rub when I was my hair with shampoo. It definitely gives it a good buff!0
