Loving the look of Mablethorp, but just a little too far for us I think. We are in London - we do drive but want to keep petrol costs down - can anyone recommend any nice sites within a few hours of London? Our children are 5 and 8. Thanks

To those who have been before, did you opt for UK travel insurance? I'm looking at the priority form I received and there's a box for insurance for £9.50 per booking saying they strongly recommend it (I'm sure a lots to do with their commission but I must admit its something I've never thought of). I've been away in the UK hundreds of times before and never taken it.

What exactly will the insurance cover?
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

It doesn't say a lot. Just says 'Tick box if you require holiday insurance. This is strongly recommended at £9.50 per booking and includes personal cover and car breakdown cover. Cancellation or curtailment cover is not included'. Then you're asked to tick yes or no.

As far as I can see. You are only covering the monies you have paid to go.

    Not a lot to lose.

Have never used the sun offer before but am quite tempted to go abroad. Is it possible to pay extra to extend it to a weeks holiday?

I have never been on one before but want to this time. It will be just 2 adults and a 6 m.o. baby. i know you have to pay for a minimum of 4 which is no problem, however we are looking to go on a half board holiday (preferably Butlins) do you still have to pay for a minimum 4 people for half board or just the number going? If so, could we just book the accomodation and buy the food court package when we get there?

No idea re the food package but yes, you have to pay for 4 people...a friend of mine thought you had to make up ficticious names...lol, you don't have to do this!!

hi, if I remember rightly you pay for the intial booking fee (£38 + 1.50 card fee?) you will get an invoice of all the other extras : service charge, linen, entertainment passes and food. Passes and food will be for 4 people, you can pay online or phone them to say that you only require 2 x passes and food. They will revise your balance and you can pay over the phone. I don't think they'll charge a baby. Another confirmation will be sent to you to say that the balance is fully paid.
