Advice needed - violent attack by neighbour's dog
Comments
-
When out running i often come across dogs off and on the lead, i make sure the owner is aware of me coming so as not to surprise them or the dog. I will slow down and walk past if i feel at risk. However when a dog went for me it got the shock of its life when i turned on it, the owner was a little upset when i said control it or i will probably kill it. Dogs can make lovely pets, however anything or anyone that attacks me or my family will get instant justice, i wont wait to be savaged by any dog, let your dog get in my personal space at your peril even if you are on the beach!

and let anyone go for my dog at their peril, youd get a lot more than a bite I assure you.0 -
It is the dogs I feel sorry for in all this.
Irresponsible owners leading to them getting into trouble and potentially getting hurt.0 -

I've never had that actually happen yet, but I do have only one response I would imagine I would do. I need the dog permanently immobilised, so I could concentrate on defending me from you, so bear in mind that you are going to take it up a notch, (several notches) and it's your dog. I have no feelings for it, other than it attacked me, and the owner is joining in as well.0 -

I agree entirely, it's always the dog that suffers, the owners feel self righteous, and always blame the world around them.0 -
Unfortunately it's not illegal to have said youths out of control, or the law to have them on leashes. It is law that you have to have your dog on a leash and under control.
Mikey, I'm with you on this, as a former postie I seen many dogs out of control, they approach me snarling I'm afraid I boot first and ask questions later. Never been bitten either, although I did have a wee yapping terrier thing try to sh*g my leg and trip me up :rotfl:4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
I like dogs, I just couldn't eat a whole one."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

"get in my personal space at your peril" is what some dogs think. They are being defensive.
"control it or i will probably kill it". If you were a dog you would need to be kept on a lead0 -
capeverde has it never crossed your mind that if your dog were to bite someone there could be a chance that you would be forced to have your dog destroyed.
If you do not care about other people at least think of your own dog.0 -

That is why they should be controlled by their owner and not go up to people.0 -

If you bear that in mind when your dog is running free, you may not be unpleasently surprised.0
