Cars with no tax
I'm sick to death with seeing cars with no tax. I've seen three cars today across two different car parks with tax discs out of date. How can they be reported?

Just ask again if you want someone else to look up the phone numbers for you.0 -

How out of date are the tax disks? They might just be waiting for their new one to turn up in the post.0

Well, since the OP saw them today, and it's the 23rd, they have exceeded their grace period for waiting for the disc to arrive, by at least 18 days.0

Not necessarily I taxed a car on line on Sunday that had been SORN for 18 months drove it perfectly legally to fill with diesel and check all was OK before tax disc arrived on Friday in the post.;)0 -
Are you sure that's allowed?
As I understand it, you can only drive while waiting for the disc, if you applied for the disc before the old one expired.0 -

What you did would be fine providing that you applied for the tax at the end of the month, and then you have an exemption for the first 5 working days of the following month.
As you applied for the tax and drove the car without displaying a valid tax disc in the middle of the month, you were not legal. If you use the electronic vehicle licensing service or tax by post at the end
of the month, there’s now an exemption for not displaying a tax disc. This
exemption covers the first five working days of the month to allow time for the
new disc to arrive in the post. While you are still waiting for your tax disc
you will need to display your current tax disc. The exemption only applies if
applications are made before the current tax disc or SORN expires.0 -
