Always tell the truth... it's much simpler
And as he's sent a copy then he's in breach of copyright and you can report him not only to Ebay/Paypal but to the "copyright people" - the ones with an advert at the start of all DVDs you buy there days
that annoying one about "you wouldn't steal a handbag" DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Have to agree with Av on this one. It'd be much easier and least hassle.
Once you've got your money back you can then report him to Trading Standards just for added effect.
Too many do-gooders on these internet forums. Before we know what's happened people will be paying tax on their sales next..........

Report them to FACT?
Where is FACT? I don’t know where they are.
We need a Fact Hunt to find them.0 -
They cheekily sent me a message today (they never replied to ANY of my messages beforehand) demanding i close the dispute.
How cheeky. I will be keeping it open, and then reporting them to FACT.0 -
edit: just realised that they have cancelled their ebay account and that they are no longer a member.
Will this affect the refund status?
and also, how do i find their address to report to FACT?0 -
You can just report to FACT any of the information you have, ie eBay ID, item number etc etc and they can do the rest.
This is what happened to one eBayer!!!0 -

Faboulous! Serves him blooming right! I have sold a couple of DVDs and CDs and even a couple of games over my years of ebaying and every darned time I get the questions "are these originals or copies" well DUH does my account look like it's used to sell copies *rolls eyes* - I have never sold more than half a dozen CDs/DVDs in all the years I have used ebay - hardly likely that I should be indulging in pirate copies now lolDFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
