possible ebay problem?

Okay, here's what happened. I got a bit too tempted with a DVD that was ending shortly. It was going for a fiver, so I bidded and won. I didn't realise that the Ebayer actually had 0 feedback until I had won but I thought that everyone starts at 0 and needs to gain feedback so I wasn't worried. They've been a member since September 2006.

I won the item on the 11th and payed £2 for postage, so surely it should be here now? I contacted them just to check if it had been posted yet, but I haven't got a reply.

I've never had any problems with Ebay before so I wouldn't really know where to start and how long to wait.

I just wanted your opinions on what to do and if I'm just worrying over nothing?

Thanks alot :money:

I'd wait till Tuesday 10 days after payment & start a 'Item Not Received' dispute with Paypal (presuming that's how you paid)

You could also obtain the seller's contact information, and hopefully it should give you their telephone number (your info is also sent to the seller if you do this)
Go in to "advanced search" (top right hand corner)
Members on the left side, find "contact information" - you will need the item number for this part. An email will be sent to you.

Aswell as emailing them, You could always try ringing them before opening the dispute, and if they fail to answer your calls, and you've waited long enough, then file the "item not received" dispute

    Good luck!

This would be when I would start getting worried. They might not post until Saturday.

Send an email first and if no reply this evening start the dispute before you go to bed.

yeah, i've sent them 2 emails before the dispute but i've got a new problem now...

The DVD has actually arrived in the post today...And it's a copy. I don't know what to do because i'm not satisfied with the DVD (what with the seller insisting it was brand new and original) and i've still got the dispute from it not being sent on.

    What do I do?

    Thanks

If the DVD arrived in the normal post without a signature, just deny receiving it.

That will be simpler than trying to change the dispute.

    Dishonest?

No, it is the seller who is dishonest and deserves all he gets.

You do know that doing so is illegal? I understand your suggestion, but it might get the OP in trouble. However, as the posted DVD was a copy - a clear breach of copyright - it seems the the simplest approach when dealing with the idiots at paypal.
