Of course that is just my opinion, who said otherwise? I made the comment therefore it is my opinion.
And your opinion that anyone filling up 64GB with music is 'ridiculous,' is ridiculous in my opinion.
Being a DJ and producer for over 10 years, I have many thousands of tracks stored all over the place and on my macbooks however personally I have never had the inclination to load thousands upon thousands of tracks onto any music player. Maybe it is just me (in the same way I also have no intention of renaming and tagging the numerous downloaded albums over the years that have been labelled with track 01, track 02 etc.)
Maybe it is you? Maybe it's not and people have needs which are not ridiculous, but just different? I'm different and so are many music fans. Therefore, catering for them by including expandable storage seems, to me, to be smart marketing and catering for the widest possible customer base at marginal incremental cost.

In what way is someone doing what they want to be able to listen to their music as often as they like 'ridiculous'?

PS. You don't have to manually retag tracks these days. There's loads of software which does the job for you.
There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I bought an iPod Touch 64Gb for my music, and it holds just a small fraction of the music I own.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

I mention the word ridiculous, that is no bearing on you. obviously anything I say is my opinion, I never said otherwise.

Software cannot tag tracks that have no embedded data or cue files.

As someone that has used both, the S3. Its a better phone all round, Google Now looks to stomp all over Siri and its just more compatible with anything. Plays pretty much any music of video file you can throw at it, at the time of writing 32g MicroSD card are £11! on Amazon - the fact you can't even upgrade the memory on the iPhone is a crime (or just part of Apple gameplan...), plus ICS Vs iOS is a no brainier with ever brilliant Google integration. I upgraded from an S2 to an S3, all I needed to do when I booted up my S3 was sign into google and it just moved everything over. I would say the only area where Apple have the edge is that their stock apps and generally the apps in the store have a more premium quality feel. Play Store can feel a little clogged up with amateur developers, whereas Apple have much stricter quality controls. That said, lots of apps are going cross platform now (sketchbook pro/flipbook) and Google seemed be upping their standards much more. The new interfaces for Google Maps/Google Now/ Googles etc all look much slicker and cleaner - and they seem to be pulling the Playstore in that direction.
