i have recently purchsed the iphone 4s, before that i had the HTc Desire on Android, the iphone is well made and very slick, but, and theres always a but, its very restrictive being tied to Apple, as others have said, the Samsung S3 is a very good phone with the ability to increase the memory & replace the battery......whatever phone you choose get the biggest Data package you can afford as these type of phones eat it!

See, that proves that it's a good thing there are lots of different options out there for mobile phones, and that no one phone is going to please everyone :)

I can't see why I'd ever need more than 64gb of storage on a phone, I haven't even used up the 32gb on my current phone. So a memory card slot might be essential for you, but it is not essential for everyone.

I agree completely. But surely we can also agree that a memory card slot is more than a novelty?

HTC One X - IMO, never buy a phone which you have to completely disassemble just to change the battery.

I have had a new phone every 18 months for the past 10 years or so. Never once have I needed to change or replace a battery. As if this is a selling point?

You might consider a memory card slot to be a novelty. I don't. On a memory hungry, multi-media, HD capable device, I consider it essential.

Again, I dont see it as essential at all. Depends what you use it for. I see no reason to store a huge collection of videos on there (unless you are that way inclined) so it would not be a problem for me.

And there's no reason you should, which is why I said that I consider it essential. But it's rather more than a mere 'novelty'.

I don't store any videos on my phone, but I do store a lot of music. But given the multimedia capabilities of the device (and hence the expectation that many owners will use them), I hardly think an option for extending storage is a novelty.

It would be a mere novelty - something just for fun, something pointless - for me. I can't imagine any use I personally would have for a memory card slot on a phone with 64gb of storage.

u could use ure s2 if you had one as a mini pc, have loads of movies on it use a hdmi converter, plug ure s2 directly into your 52 inch lcd telly if you had one and watch movies or surf the net portable and beats the !!!! outta a dvd player, and a pretty micro pc to boot!!!

My friend has had his phone for 1.5 months, and I got mine just over a week. and both of us are thinking about uprading the battery - all depends on how you use it.

The main point is we easily can, without having a usb external charging device dangling off it.
