Erm, this is a no-brainer.
- Larger screen
- Text to call feature
- Automatic eye detection power down
- Pop-out video player feature
- Native flash support
- Better camera and features
- Better navigation
- DNLA Screen Share - instantly send your pics/vids to a DNLA supported device
- Quad-Core - will make a huge difference when multi-tasking
- Better battery
As I said, no brainer.
The iPhone 5, no idea.....but it is supposed to the 4s with a longer screen, Meaning, the full screen of the iPhone 4s will be utilised (atm, it is blacked out at the top/bottom end). I suspect Apple will introduce a better A5 processor too.
One thing to note is that Apple is currently in process of banning Samsung from selling the S3 in the USA. Obviously they know it will kill their current device and are therefore buying some time to release their next device.
If you want a Nokia, I still got my 7110 Matrix phone (all jokes aside, the Lumia 900 is the best Nokia has to offer)0 -
Neither, HTC One X all the way.
I wont even comment on the iphone as it doesn't warrant any comments.
The S3 is awesome and near enough identical to the HTC but with extra !!!!! that you just dont need. Sure there are cool extras but they are just novelty. eg. if you are viewing your contact list and have scrolled down to the bottom of the list, you can just tap the phone at the top and it will take you right back up to the top of the list. Also if the phone is lying down on the table for example and you get a text, the next time you pick it up it will shake like a mother !!!!er to advise you of the text. The screen has some weird liquid type thing interface that when you touch is like running your finger through water plus if you are reading something on the screen, the camera keeps an eye on you so k nows if you are still reading, if so it keeps the screen light on.
All cool but after a week, pointless. I dont agree with pointless things as it reeks of desperation to make their phone 'the best'. the HTC has same operating system (Android 4 ICS) and, as always with HTC, is perfect. Better screen too0 -
HTC One X - IMO, never buy a phone which you have to completely disassemble just to change the battery.0

I find that quite funny coming from someone going on about a phone bloated by HTC Sense.
I have a HTC Desire Z. My wifes' Samsung Galaxy Y is far quicker due to not being brought to a crawl by Sense.0 -

According to sites like Macrumor's, the new iPhone will have a smaller dock connector. The reason is that the existing dock had a finate size i.e. the universal dock adaptor for dock speakers etc. which in turn limited the physical size of the iPhone and in turn its screen size. If the new new dock connector is true, then it will force the third party speaker manufacturer to make a new serise of speakers which will no doubt incorporate a wider universal dock adaptor meaning that the iPhone can be wider and hence meaning bigger screen sizes. Apple probably have been forced down this rouyte as it can no longer claim 3.5" is fit for purpose as people have been raving about the screen sizes they can get on Android, i.e. 3.5, 4.3, 4.7 and 5.3" screens. Where Apple can only compete at the entry level Android size.
If you are trying to promote a ideal ditch your computer web surfing experience then bigger screen is the way forward. Pinch and zoom on a 3.5 incher is always going to be frustrating when browsing the web.
Also Apple's desire to ban Samsung in certain markets is half hearted as it relies a lot on Samsung hardware to manufacture its iPhone's. iPhone users are using a 25% Samsung phone0 -

cue a bunch of Apple haters (why not just big up your phone of choice rather than taking opinionated swipes at something else..?)
out of the 2 you mention, the samsung, it's brand new, the 4s is an iphone 4 (which was 2 years old yesterday) with a slightly faster processor and siri.
As an Apple fan I will wait for the next iphone (due this autumn) and see what it's like.
I have a Android powered HTC as my work phone and find it very confusing, it has quite a complicated way of doing things, I find the Apple system quite simple and idiot proof. That being said I'm sure the Samsung uses a far advanced version of android, so it's worth having a play in the shop. If you want to buy NOW, the samsung is the one to go for. If you can wait, why not see what Apple push out then make a decision after playing with them both?0 -
Wouldn't rule out the galaxy note imo

T-Mobile £15 Medium Internet
50 cross-network mins + 250 texts + 750MB Mobile Internet Browsing • 24 months
£30 topcashback too, so 2 months free in effect
ICS also out for it, and really easy to update0 -

You might consider a memory card slot to be a novelty. I don't. On a memory hungry, multi-media, HD capable device, I consider it essential. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I can't see why I'd ever need more than 64gb of storage on a phone, I haven't even used up the 32gb on my current phone. So a memory card slot might be essential for you, but it is not essential for everyone.0
