Replace the obvious above. Don't know if doing that to the email address is required, but didn't want him getting spammed by web bots/spiders etc.

Reestits site is excellent, however he does get 30-50 quid for each contract taken out using his links so it is not pure altruism - it would be great if he also included other retaillers who don't pay referral commission if they offered the best deal on a handset.
    I think....

Well, I've certainly never excluded retailers on the basis of whether or not they pay commissions. In fact, in the early days I used to champion Forward Cellular a lot. I was sadder than most when they closed down as they had a unique selling point at the time (only a single claim required and all cashback payable after only 1 month).

Anyway...if you have any specific retailers in mind that you genuinely believe to be both long-term solvent and reliable (and not simply white label websites) then I'm all ears.

    best regards

I notice Reestit Mutton doesn't show the really dodgy retailers such as Tulip and Choose3 who have both robbed my poor student son.
However, he does show The Mobile Outlet and Phones 2U who are both giving me the runaround ATM but I'll persevere.

    Hi bbruce,

Yup - Tulip and Choose3 were notorious enough to have earned a blacklisting from me from day one. Infact, in case you aren't aware, Mobile Club 7 are owned by Tulip so you may want to give them a wide berth as well.

As for the The Mobile Outlet and Phones2U, maybe you would like to email me (via my website email address) details of what problems you are encountering. If it's simply a case of the retailer erroneously failing a valid claim I might be able to help get your case re-examined. No promises, mind you...but it certainly wouldn't hurt to let me have a look at your case.

    regards

    Thanks RM.
TMO kept delaying delivery despite promises but eventually it came. I hope the cashback claims go better than other posters.
Phones2U had a standard enquiry form for after 28 working days (5.5 weeks no less) which I sent to which they replied:
“Thank you for contacting phones2udirect.co.uk claims department, please read carefully!
In most cases you can find the answer to your questions in our claims FAQ .
We will also not be able to respond directly to questions that the answers can be found in the claims FAQ.
If your question can not be answered by the FAQ's, please allow a minimum of 5 working days before resending your email.“
After sending again after 5 days I get the same message so I rechecked their FAQs which now quote 45 working days (9 weeks).
I still don’t know if they’ve received my claim!

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Okay...I suppose that the first question has to be "did you send the claim by Recorded/Special delivery?"

If the answer to that question is "no" then there's little you can do but wait and cross your fingers. If the answer is "yes" then maybe you could provide me with further details of your order and your claims submission so I can check that you have indeed followed their terms to the letter (probably best to do this via email rather than on a public forum).

If you have made a valid claim and your cashback is already late then I would be only too happy to talk to the retailer on your behalf.
