Hi everyone
Im lurking!!! But have popped out to say- thank you for the dotcom link and for the fantastic 'pot of gold' idea!!! :T
If I see any bargains or have flashes of inspiration ill let you know :rotfl:
I have made hampers in the past but mainly for new babies, the best thing I can advise is try and get round baskets- they look so much better (Netto occasionally used to do great ones but closed down) and to build some height into them- I layer the bottom with scrunched up newpaper and make the back higher than the front, then cover with a layer of tissue paper before putting the items in- I also buy my cellophane from ebay
I love the idea of food hampers and the 'night in' hamper or I guess you could have a 'pamper hamper'

Hello everyone! Just back from my "local" H*bbycraft where I got 5 cookie cutters for £1!
They're plastic and you really have to dig deep to find the Christmassy ones but what a bargain.
They also have letters/numbers (useful if you want to do salt dough maybe?) and hallowe'en ones.0 -
Hi all
Been lurking this thread a while. I've just started blogging about the preparation for our church Christmas craft fair which I organise every November. I'm hoping that having to blog will make me be more prepared! Not much on there at the moment but I've only just started. See what you think. I'd love any feedback!

Been in Aldi and they have fuzzy felt sets! Oh my days! What a blast from the past!
They are £3.49 and had astronauts, safari, the wizard of oz, a wedding scene, police men, a sleepover so plenty of choice. I got the wizard of oz and a safari one for my tots.

Got home from a hospital appointment to find I had missed the delivery of my dotcomgift shop parcel - by 4 minutes!! Later there was a knock at the door and there was our lovely postman who lives down the road with my parcel - he had rescued it and dropped it off on his way home :j Its wonderful, the spotty storage boxes are quite big and the storage bags (for toys etc ) are huge! One is for my wool so it looks tidy. I spent £16 inc postage and it was well worth it. Even the vintage style 19p jigsaws were cute as buttons.
Am very impressed and will do another order in a few weeks. Just waiting for my wool from Kemps now :jClearing the junk to travel light
