I'm looking to get my christmas hamper started but at a loss what to buy for it, other than pickles!
Any ideas? What have you bought hamper hoarders0 -
I have 7 adults and 7 children to buy for.
It does not sound like too many. I am lucky in that most of the family agreed a few years ago to not buy for each other. I fill a stocking for 6 of the adults and 4 of the children. It's mostly toiletries, socks and foodie things for the adults and sweets and little craft/making things for the children. I often put a torch in for the children, it does not seem to matter how many torches they have, they have a fascination for them.
Hamper:- Crackers for cheese, olives, nuts, crisps, meringue nests, tinned fruit, bought Xmas puds, (I buy the tiny ones, in different varieties, eg A*da do chocolate orange Xmas puds!) Small but big enough for DH and I. I think my hamper consists of nice nibbley/luxury bits for DH and I. Years ago it used to be more family orientated.Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -
http://www.craftycrocodiles.co.uk/ this is the site I use for children's presens. So many craft items/stocking fillers for a really reasonable price. Many a thing you can pick up for under £10

That crafty croc site is great! Have ordered a catalogue for our GB, could keep them occupied for 50p each!
Will prob order some for me too...
Started pom poms last night, smaller than I thought but will hopefully still be nice.
I have been saving jars to make chutney. If I make is soon will it be ok to Christmas? Do I need to get wax paper things for the top?
Thanks.0 -
Absolutley loving this thread and working my way through.
Today I managed to pick up 6 lovely t towels for 50p and some gorgeous half price smellies for MIL and FIL for M&S.
I also bought my cards in January. Going to be a very different Christmas for us as we will have gone to Australia by then. So need to be organised with presents bought and wrapped and left here and presents bought to take, although it's great with all the summer sales here at the mo as these are very appropriate for the hot Christmas in Australia:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I am loving this thread and feel really inspired to join in, even if the sun is pouring through the window and Christmas seems like a very long way off!
Think I will start off by looking for stocking fillas as they seem to cost me far more than I ever intend spending and take me forever to find.
Thanks for the inspiration I will let you know how I get on0 -
