christmas time birthdays

  • My dd birthday is 26th Jan, a good time to get the best of the sale bargains. She always has a party which is well attended because things are flat after christmas. We have also been to the last performance of the panto in the middle of Jan. The year she was 6 she had a playhouse in the garden and we had a "housewarming" party with a bouncing castle in about July so that she could have the summer party that she hankered after. The year she was 10 she shared a July party with my Dad who was 60 and we invited people to a "70 " birthday celebration. It did confuse the guests though and I think she also had a january celebration, but then she would always have a party instead of a present if the need arose.
