Ithe ingenuity of man..........
I think it might just work to be honest, depending on the dent and the careful application of the air.
Worth a try at least.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Thanks for the advice
Routes to take:
1. Try to find the owner and claim against their insurance or take them to small claims court
2. If no joy with above, repair the windscreen through insurance (that shouldn't affect your NCB) and then live with the dent or replace it with one from a scrappie.
You know the history of the car, that's valuable in its own right. If it will still be road legal then why get rid and start again?:hello:0 -

Would it be worth contacting a local scrapyard re the widscreen? Years ago someone smashed my mini metro screen & I was able to get one out of another car at the scrapyard for £20 (this was approx 11 yrs ago mind).Booo!!!0

Man in the scrapyard did it for me, really can't remember but it wasn't difficult, try asking on the motoring board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70 they will have a better idea if it would be possible.Booo!!!0

It sounds like you got off lightly OP - hitting a horse at dual carriageway or even country road speeds could potentially have been a disaster. Your poor hubby must have s h ! t himself!0
