The letter I've received is from their Senator Parking Operations. No named signature either. Looks pretty official.
Really? Just because it's on headed notepaper? :rotfl:
A 'Parking Charge Notice' is NOT a real PCN but a fake one.
Just ignore it.
The most that will happen is even more junk mail letters that you can ignore; you are just in the middle of a mail scam at the moment.
No private parking company (PPC) can actually issue a real fine or penalty. Nor can they affect your credit rating nor send a bailiff round without the small matter of winning a Small Claim in Court first! Won't happen.
Please read on...
We have so much info on here to help newbies understand and be ready for the letters. One click & you see all current threads here, most of which are about the 'fake PCN' scam.
Third from the top, click on 'PPC letters & threats'.
1. Watch the Watchdog clip on there, and then
2. scroll down to the pics of any threatograms (any PPC) issued by Parking Collection Services, 'Debt Recovery Plus' or 'Zenith'. Then
3. Play a nice game of snap with each matching templated threatogram, then
4. Tell your friends & family, colleagues, strangers, everyone! about the fake PCN scam so they never pay one.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have a few very official looking emails from a Prince Mabumbu asking me if I would help him shift 10.7 million US Dollars. All he needs is my bank account details and he will let me keep 10%.
I have asked for 15% before I send him all my details.

If you still consider it a legal fine, then you need to pay. If you now consider it an unlawful scam, then you needn't. I respect your decision. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I point out that they can pay by paypal to the same email address they emailed me on, and that once the funds are clear ill be pleased to paypal 90% back to them......:rotfl:**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. Summary breakdown of facts:
Private companies cannot issue fines or penalties.
There is no appeals process for private parking companies. An appeals process should be run by an unbiased third party. In 100% of PPC cases, the appeals process is managed by the PPC themselves. Therefore it is in their interest to reject every single appeal.
The only way you can get a CCJ is if you are taken to court, lose, and then don't pay.
It is absolutely safe for you to completely ignore any further correspondence from this company. They cannot send bailiffs to your house or seize your car as payment. ONLY a court can do this, and only after you lose and then refuse to pay and have a CCJ registered against you. If a PPC tried to argue to a court that you overstaying in a free car park has caused them losses of £100+, they'd just get laughed out.0
