Response to appeal letter enclosing photographs

Hi. I followed the MSE template to appeal to a parking fine wherein I would have to left the car there for 14 hours to justify the fine - it's a private car park. Today I received a response informing me that I would still have to pay. I am not happy by this response but what makes me more mad is that they enclosed three A4 sheets which comprise of 10 photos of my car including exterior and interior shots (taken through the windows) of my car. Has anyone else come across this? I wasn't aware that this could be done. Any help on how to continue most welcome.

  • Since it's a "private car park", I believe the best advice would be to ignore them.

If it's a pay & display car park, write a full & final settlement to them offering the outstanding cost of your parking (known as liquidated business losses). Best moral course of action to take, and if they refuse and take you to court, their case will fall flat on it's face. I would calculate it based on the cheapest cost of 1 hours parking, fractionally (i.e. at £2/hr parking, offer 50p if you overstayed by 15 mins).

If it's a free car park, ignore it completely. The nonsense they keep mailing you will stop eventually.

= Thanks for your reply. The car park was free for 2 hours then 70p for third hour. I was there for 30 mins to collect a TV where there was no loading/collection area.

Its the photographs the attendant took that have really annoyed me.

ITS not a fine....you have just been a victim of a scam that some company's think they can get away with...have a look at this from watchdog

why did you expect your appeal to work....its a decision taken by the money counter...surprised? i can not find a case of someone getting a positive result from them ever, just ignore the idiots.
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • Unenforceable rubbish, they cant take you to court, its a scam. Ignore them and all the toothless threatograms they will send you.

Thanks WorriedJim, but they have my address to write letters and 14 days to pay the fine.

You are giving your "ticket" to much credit.

Have a read of https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803 that, then have a read of http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?autocom=ibwiki&cmd=article&id=56 that.

Then go and put the kettle on and think to yourself why are you giving these scam artists any attention, all you have to do is follow the 100's if not 1000's of us that have all had these tickets and ignored them, I could count the number that have actually gone to court on one hand !

Chill out ! and IGNORE THEM !!!
