Kidney bean recipes????

I like them mixed with tuna into salads etc.
Did make a nice bean pate/ pitta filling the other day using pinto beans, am sure could use kidney beans instead.
Fry a little chopped onion, add beans, sprinkle of stock powder, pinch of all purpose seasoning, splash water to loosen, then stir through a tbsp mango chutney and cook until liquid gone, stuff into pittas or similar. Was a fridge raid dinner and surprisingly tasty!I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Try mixing with a can of baked beans and a little chilli powder for a healthy, tasty filler for baked potatoes - will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days - just add a little water if it starts to look dry:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

I know you said you don't have room in the freezer for another chilli, but the drained beans in a plastic bag wouldn't take up much room until the next time you want to make chilli? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

What about a bean burger? Fry off an onion, garlic, crated carrot then season generously and spices of your choice. Add the beans and mash together, then form into a burger/burgers dust with flour and open freeze...... yummy!-2lbs
