Are you talking about the analogue channels or the digital channels? Digital channels

Digital channels and transmitted in a 'multiplex' of several channels together so if you were losing BBC1 and BBC2 you should also be missing several other channels as well! Have just checked and when I switch on each time I am missing all of the BBC multiplex. After doing the manual search using the 'channel' numbers (frequencies) from digitaluk I get all the channels back. My problem is that each time I switch on I have to repeat the whole performance as the BBC multiplex are missing.

If it is just the analogue BBC1 and BBC2, then assuming you are following the retuning instructions to the letter , you have probably got a faulty TV.

Thank you everyone for trying to help.

I am going to wait until the next retune on 27 June and then if all fails a new TV it will be - my OH will be delighted, as will my children (grown up and view us as dinosaurs as regards our technology!)

PS if nothing else I have learnt a lot about channels and frequencies!

I've got this problem but in my case it's the ITV 3, Channel 4, Channel 5 and whatever is on channel 6 that comes up missing

kingcog - My brother had something similar to this, kept retuning but it never "held". So we took the instruction manual back to Richer Sounds and it turned out the cache was full so remedied that and it has been fine.

How do you clear out the cache ?
