    Hi all,
been mia for quite a while, just so busy doing the normal h/work, cooking, ironing ect. I've been having DGD2 for about 4 days a week and DGD3 2 days so that takes up a lot of my time.
Managed to spend 2 days in the garden finally grouted the tiles on all patios that were laid last year. I had to scrape all of the muck out between them, vacume and wash them.
WM & BM finished, I had DGD3 this morning while DD2 and DGD2 had a check up at the dentist. I was out weeding the front garden at 8am and got it finished 5mns before it started to rain.
Have to collect DGD2 later as she wants to have another sleep over, so I'll be doing the playschool run tomorrow.
Dinner will be hm burgers, new pots and corn on the cob. Must get on and start the ironing pile.
Haven't caught up for ages so hugs to all in need.

    Hi,

Haven't been on here for AGES ... to cut a long story short, I've been so absorbed in business start up for last 18 months and trying to keep everything else afloat that I had a nervous breakdown a couple of weeks ago :( I'm taking one day at a time and trying to get on with stuff ... the tablets the doctor has given me make me soooo sleepy!!!

Anyway, it's really making me re-evaluate my work/life balance and realise sadly that I've been going through the motions but not living ... if that makes sense. I've not been playing with the kids or cooking like I used to or doing any OS things ... so I'm back hoping to find motivation, give friendship and give and take lots of hugs :o

I've employed someone 2 days a week to free up some "me" time so today have made leek and potato soup, beef stew and dumplings and have made a cake mix for later. It was so nice to sit down and put my feet up with a cuppa while the washing machine did it's thing and lovely smells came from the kitchen :D

Hope everyone is having a good day and ... it's good to be back

    Luv J xx

    Afternoon all,

    Welcome Smammi

Welcome back Jet....sorry that things have gone wrong, but you sound as if you are seriously getting yourself back together...hugs.

JackieO....you are sooo organised! Poor Danny, tough on him but I'm sure his wonderful granny will help put him back on the happy road.

Bitsy...sorry to hear about redundancy rumours....scary but hopefully things will work out ok...

    LW...take it easy...

Taplady...good luck with your exhibition...your pictures are lovely.

OH's warfarin blood levels were very high yesterday so had to have another test this morning....and they are even higher to-day, hopefully the levels will come down again as doc would not allow him to fly if they stay as they are, so trip to Oz might be off....couldn't go and leave him here on his own if he is not well...levels have never been like this since he started on Warfarin in October of 2008....is it punishment for my sins??

We have been out for lunch with a friend of mine to-day....her treat for some reason and really enjoyed it, no vino because of above paragraph but not a big deal for me! No cooking to-night as will just have sandwich or somesuch later before I go swimming, last lesson until September but will practice.

Sistercas....does your insurance not cover glass breakage? Check before you part with a penny.

Ally...can distinctly remember traipsing around every shop in Dublin looking for prom dress for DD1....eventually spent a mint on one in Laura Ashley and took weeks for my feet and legs to recover!

Hugs to all in need or want of one, stay safe

    SC - scary
    Smammi - welcome x

Such a miserable day here :( rain rain and rain. Busy in work, worked through lunch so finished half hour early. Came home ready to hibernate! Pjs on, cwtched in on sofa, cuppa made.......cuppa promptly knocked over  luckily most of it landed on my blanket (not the mobile/alptop/kindle, phew!). So blanket in WM and duvet now on sofa :D

OS wise - packed lunch taken, either OS LO's for tea or naughty takeaway as it's payday! WM on

    Have a good evening all

So pleased my DD found her prom dress online (from china) and ordered it weeks ago, couldn't be doing with all the traipsing around looking at dresses....you must all have the patience of saints. Hers was the grand sum of £9.95 inc free delivery, I've spent £20 on shoes, £6 on hair do-dahs and £1.99 on a little glittery wrap to go with it. My best friend (who has boys) said I was a mean and heartless mother for not wanting to spend £19 on a little prom bag to go with it, so she brought it for her! She is having her hair cut next week but I've coloured it for her and we will put it up prettily on the night. Oh and I brought her date a bow tie to match the colour of DDs dress.....a whole £1.49 (thank you eb@y).

First a smashed champagne bottle then a back windscreen. Do these things happen in threes?!
Feeling rather maudlin tonight. DS is off tomoz to uganda for a month  with world challenge. He's worked really hard and almost saved the whole amount (though we've kitted him out). There's a lunch at the school at 1 then we wave them off. There will be tears! He's mega excited. It's strange, DD1 back from uni for the summer, dd2 staying on in edinburgh and now ds off for a month then back then depending on results off to edinburgh or staying here. No more school children. I blinked and they all grew up!

    Evening everyone

Been mia yet again, real life getting in the way. dh had meeting at work Tuesday, several jobs are going and he has to apply so not sure come September if he will have a job or not. I have managed to get an interview tomorrow at a local college for a job Id really love to do, very similar to my old job up north so would appreciate some positive vibes.

os today kitchen cleaned, washing emptied off airer and folded, not ironed yet. clothes for tomorrow ironed incl ds2 PE kit as it is sports day all being well.

DS1 contacted me after going back to work after his hols, he has finally come to the conclusion that he needs to go back to study to get on in life (now 22). He wants to come and live with us and work and study, so we have said yes. We will see how things pan out.

Managed to get all lawn cut yesterday and strimmed edges, spent over 3 hours in all in the garden.

Taplady - Thoughts and prayers for your friends. Hope it went well tonight at your exhibition.
Jet - make sure you get some rest.
sistercas - glad you and dd are both ok.
Bitsy - Hope eveything works out ok for you.
HH - only 5 weeks left.
MM - Hope your dh is ok to fly.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care and sleep well.
