            morning all!
I overslept this morning so its a bit of a rush but I was working til late last night so needed it obviously.
Off to art this morning then have lunch at the pub:) tonight is our preview evening at the exhibition - hope lots of people come:)
Pouring down here. Not a lot will get done today.
Still in my dressing gown - not brushd my hair even and had to answer the door to some poor chap:eek:
 gave him a shock:rotfl:
Bitsy - hope you and DH manage to get your new venture up and running - how exciting and maybe this threat of redundancy was just what you needed to give you the motivation to do it! x x x
Have a great day all x xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good Morning all from a rather damp garden of England.Well I have a couple of pottering days today as my son-in-law is at home for two days so he is doing the school run etc.So I am going to make a list of all my catch-up jobs that need doing.i finished my ironing last night and even got it put away (I hate that job) and sorted out lots of paper work this morning .Having booked next years holiday I am now organising my income so it will be paid for hopefully by next March. So frugal is the watchword and every bit of food will be streetched and a lot of christmas pressies will be made at home and not shop bought.DD is so pleased that we have managed to get this house on the IoW and that its almost on the beach. So we are putting our heads together to think of ways of raising a bit more cash for next year. This years is all sorted and paid for .I have a big Jar in my house that every bit we can scrape together will go into.I have already done a stocktake of my food stores and will be cutting back on shopping accordingly.Nothing ,but nothing will be wasted or thrown out. This morning I will be sorting out stuff as we are going to do a boot sale in a week or so as she has lots of odds and ends to get rid of and so have I.every penny earned will go into the pot
Well the bell rang about half an hour ago and my lovely grandson Danny was on the doorstep in tears him and his girlfriend have parted company and he is devastated. They were like Romeo and Juliet and had been together since he was 15 and he's now 22.She is at Hendon doing her PCSO training and I think she has just so much going on in her life at the moment.Bless him he looked so sad and just stood on the step with tears running down his face.So a big cuddle was in order and he's coming to my house on his way home from work tonight for a bit more TLC.He's such a smashing lad and to him there is no one like his Chloe.I am hoping a short break may change her mind
Cracks you up when you see a young man in tears bless him.
Well this won't get the work done, I must get a shift on
Take care all

Morning everyone, many thanks for the warm welcomes yesterday.

Sorry to hear of some of the sad happenings around at the moment, it makes me feel quite ashamed of my moaning when some people are going through worse problems. Best wishes to those with the redundancy issues, I'm sorry I can never remember names so I can't direct my words to them personally but I do understand the worry. I had that worry earlier in the year and it is so scarey. I hope something turns up ok.
On another note, I ended up switching the tv news off in total disgust this morning when hearing about the doctors' strikes today. They feel their pensions are not adequate! I'm sorry but I don't have any sympathy at all, a pension of around £60k a year! Hmm! Sorry, my little rant for the day.
At work again today so not spending any money fortunately as I haven't got any left.
Its pouring it down with rain so didn't need to water anything. I checked my toms and radishes and they are doing ok plus I picked 6 strawberries last night from one of my pots, they were absolutely fab, I left them for the girls to have as I ate the last ones I picked.:o
DD2 is off to have her hair cut today ready for the prom in two weeks. I can't believe its here already, her dress is hanging up, it is so, so gorgeous. Cost a lot but worth it I think for this one off occasion.
I didn't have my hm bb for tea last night because I made a mistake on my sw and couldn't have any more meat so had to have an omelette instead. I hate dieting, it just doesn't work for me cos I dont like veg or pasta. I'm afraid I'm a bread and butter girl. Oooooer making myself peckish already
Just a quick question, is anyone else fed up of hearing about London 2012 or Euro 2012 or is it just me being a miserable old bat?
Have a good day everyone, keep smiling:)0 -

I am so sorry abut your friends and hope eventually they can come to some kind of terms with their loss.
Wave Hello to Ally
Still shattered after all day at Trafford Centre centre yesterday but worth it as we got dd a lovely prom dress and some Kurt Geiger shoes in the sale. All we need now are underpinnings and clutch bag in creamy colour. Dress is complete opposite of what she said she wanted and we have all been looking out for for weeks if not months - phew- but she looks lovely in it and is really happy.
Pouring with rain here and my feet don't feel like walking anywhere after being out for eleven hours yesterday so will brave the garage freezer for inspiration and then make a pot of tea and late brekkie.

I hope the people making the decisions to work others into the ground for no reason other than their own incompetence get precisely what they deserve one day. Musing what environmental health or elfnsafety would make of what you are expected to do each day. It cannot be right that you did not have a break - even of 15 mins or so a couple of times. Did the subject not crop up ages ago and someone lay down some rules or am I confused?
Tea beckons so see you all later .
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

            Morning all!
Washing is draped about the place as its raining again! Freezer surprise for dinner, hoover to whizz about, and meeting at the bank later. Tomorrow am going to lunch with my friend who got married recently, she has left over gift vouchers for a local restaurant, so nice treat and we will no doubt put the world to rights with a wee glass of something fruity. Our 2 OHs are working together just now, so we will either be joined for drinkies, or OH will have a takeaway for his dinner, so a treat day! Just need to sort out the house today so time to give myself a shake. Have a good day all, and big hugs where needed!RIP Iain

            Morning :hello:
Bitsy mr tru doesn't exactly love his job. Maybe we should carry out our plan from ages ago - remember it? The huge field, selling fruit, veg and eggs, craft lessons, kids adventure/nature walks...............bliss
You can do the kid part, I'm no good with them, lol.
A champagne bottle exploded yesterday, it was quite spectacular
I've stored the bottles in an old guinea pig cage, so most of the glass was contained. But one piece shot across the garden and I can't find it so I've told everyone not to walk on the grass barefoot.
I was treated to a show in my garden yesterday - dove !!!!!! Right out in the open, up near the house, on the chicken fence  :rotfl: Mogs and Pepper were traumatised I think, they ran to the bottom of the garden, jumped the fence and landed on the veg patch
I'm having a day off. My mum and dad are back from their holiday today so they're popping in later for a cuppa. Apart from that, I'm just pottering about.
Oh yes I remember that plan
still sounds like heaven to me, a hippy commune without the hippy bit :rotfl::rotfl:
Loving the dove !!!!!!, randy things :rotfl:
Tappers good luck with your exhibition tonight

Aren't the prom dresses gorgeous, makes me wish all those many years ago I had chance to wear something like my daughter's dress (not that I would've fitted in one!)
My daughter chose the first dress she tried on in the first shop we went to which was helpful
Her shoes have a 4 inch heel and platform wedge and fit me so maybe I'll have a secret totter about at home when she isn't in and pretend I have the legs to go with them :rotfl: 0
