Hope no one was in the back of the car when it happened and that apart from the shock of it that nobody was hurt.

Forgot to wish Tappers good luck for tonight.

Made a late brekkie of eggs and toast once had loaded dishwasher etc. We have HM cottage pie or is it shepherd? for lunch. DD wants "something healthy" so will rustle up a salad or beans on toast.

Defrosting YS beef and will add onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, green pepper and some Patak's curry paste then finish cooking in a low oven in a cast iron casserole. Wild horses would not get me and my feet outside since yesterday's expedition.

Today I intend to make a slug look nippy by comparison ;)

DD who does not like too spicy food is out so DH, me and another dd will try the curry. Remaining dd or anyone else turning their nose up can have a home made meat pie (small) or a sausage sandwich instead.

I just read your last post and am stunned but glad for your sake. How did she choose the very first dress she tried on? had you already looked online or something? We looked online and had about three or four shopping trips - either sister took her or we went together and lost count of dresses looked at - rejected. looked at, tried on , rejected, looked at tried on and looked gorgeous and still rejected!!!!
Had you hypnotised her lol ?

Hug and see you all later.

    Hello again

Tappers-good luck with the exhibition .

Sistercas hope the windscreen is mended quickly. Glad no one was hurt.

Well I've done some housework and I have a pot of green soup simmering away. I cut some lettuce from the garden and used up a bunch of spring onions and a courgette from the fridge. Peas from the freezer, bouillon, mixed herbs and black pepper from the cupboard. Smells yum. Cooks quickly too so that's a bonus. I will blend it in a bit and that's lunch!

This afternoon I will do some paperwork.

    Bye for now.

    Hiya,

I know, surprised or what but very relieved! :D She had looked at some dresses online and been window shopping with her friends plus I had looked online (at much cheaper dresses I have to admit) but when we went out together, we just went to a shop we passed, she saw a dress hanging up and tried it on and it fit perfect. She fell in love with it there and then so I couldn't say no. I didn't even know how much it was then. It was only when she went and took it off I found out and very nearly quietly swooned to the floor!

But it's that one-off occasion and I'm incrediably proud of her as she is a lovely girl (though with typical teenage attitude sometimes) so I don't mind the cost.

She has just told me she has arranged for her hair to be done on the day at the hairdressers so tomo we need to shop for the hair accessories. I have to admit, its lovely doing the girly shop because the youngest is adamant she won't be doing this sort of stuff so she says. :D

How on earth did that happen? That sounds quite frightening whilst your driving. I hope you didn't get glass all over you.

I think there must have been a crack which i hadnt seen , next door are having their roof done and ive seen builders chucking tiles down from the roof into the skip , and my car is parked just below it . i reckon they have cracked my window

    Hi all

Just catching up, as I didn't get onto MSE yesterday.

Tappers I'll have a quiet word with a couple of appropriate deities re watching over your friends.

Bitsy sorry to hear about your DH's impending redundancy. What's his line of work? I still have all the URLs for the websites Mr LW used when he was job-hunting; a lot are IT specialist sites, and some may well be out of date by now, but you're welcome to have the list if it's any help. PM me if you want it.

Oh bum, I've forgotten everything else I was going to say.....:(

We were soooooo busy yesterday; Mr LW had a day's annual leave; he helped me dust the whole bungalow, and I even cleaned he outside of the patio doors! We also did a spot of gardening at the front (I'm too scared to go out there on my own) and then visited the Medicine Wheel.
    Link for anyone interested:

After that we went and had a wee drink at the hotel where we were married, in Newport Pagnell.

Evening was rounded off with a bottle of methode champagnoise from one of the IOW vineyards.

So I'm no use to man nor beast today!:D

Gotta go - pizza dough is done (BM just squeaked) so needs attending to, then Sid needs his walkies.;)

Bargainbird try eating a dry piece of bread, might shift annoying crisp ;)

LW lovely day by the sounds of it. Wish we had something as lovely as the medicine wheel. Thanks for the offer of websites, H does "facilities" aka building management so might not be useful. Thanks for the offer though. He's gone off to some local agencies as back up plan.

    Smammi welcome :D

Am being the queen of procrastination today. Can I blame a poorly little boy for it? Not really :o:rotfl: mind racing, not really concentrating and boring stuff like housework LOL
