Sorry for your loss mojisola xx
When DD1's gf died suddenly last year, we were asked to dress "as she would remember us".0 -
I always like to see some feedback on other threads so here's what we've decided -
We're putting in the notice that we're celebrating her life with a church service and not mentioning clothes/colours at all. We aren't going to be bothered by what others choose to wear so everyone can come in whatever they feel is suitable. It will be lovely to see everyone who turns up and I'm sure we'll share some wonderful memories of a very special lady.0 -
Glad you are all sorted now. While the actual funeral is often sad and the time for tears the get together afterwards is always a much happier gathering. All the funny stories come out and you meet people you may never have met but heard off and it's lovely to share new memories.
Thinking of you at this sad time x~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I am sorry to read of your loss Mojisola.
My mum passed away last year, but in the weeks beofre, she had told us that she didnt want anyone to wear black to her funeral - she told us to tell everyone that it would show the dog hairs... ( we have a white dog!)
In a way it made it so much more a celebration of her life. She had even left us a list of the music she wanted, the lot"Aunty C McB-Wik"
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

When my BIL died 3 years ago we simply said bright attire appreciated as a celebration of his wonderful life.
Thinking of you at this difficult time. xx0
