Can't take much more.

I've rambled on before about my job but things are just going from bad to worse and I am not ashamed to say I came home and cried this evening something I didn't do even when relatives passed away, I can't take much more.

Nothing I can do is right and I get blamed for everything, I got 1 days training in my job and rather than help me out my co workers would rather report me for being slow, yes they did that and denied all knowledge when I tackled them on it, since then I have had the boss just stand and watch me daily and he doesn't speak just stands there watching, I can't talk to anyone about it as everyone is against me, these pair of guys have over 20 years between them, why would anyone listen to me who has only been there a couple of months, according to them no one has ever stuck my job for more that a few months, I wonder why? I stopped eating in the canteen as all goes silent when I go in, so I just sit out the back somewhere by myself.

I don't know what to do, it isn't working out and I would rather be put out of my misery, lifes to short to take this crap. What do I do? If I leave I get sanctioned, if I stay it isn't gonna end well, there is only so much 1 person can take.

If it is the boss is in on it as well, What good would it do?
  • Do you think your attitude has caused this reaction? You have come across as pretty confrontational with regard to work matters, maybe if you mellowed out a bit, kept your head down etc they would back off?

In the meantime, keep searching for something else.

Any news on them interviews ? Think it was your other thread you mentioned the interviews.

I know its hard being expected to be as good as more experienced people. Could you not talk to the manager and say you have recognised your slow and any chnace you could shadow someone else to see if theres something your doing which slows you down.

Not sure what else to say really, if you leave it could be harder to find something else plus you wont be able to claim job seekers, maybe consider going self employed.

Is the boss the employer or line manager?

My head is down, I can't even get time to go to the toilet as it delays everyone else, All was fine for the first couple of weeks until they sussed out I was Protestant, it all seemed to go tits up after that, I am in Northern Ireland by the way, of course I haven't a hope in hell of proving this.

    Boss - Employer - Owner.

How did they figure it out?

Start keeping a diary. Perosnally I'd buy a dictaphone and record everything in the hope of catching them out.

Nothing, I applied for 6 jobs in the past 6 weeks or so, 2 interviews but heard nothing back.

I am thinking about going to the guy below the owner/boss and explaining the situation, he interviewed me and seems OK.
