    Neither. Get a Lumia 900 :-)
    Total Debt Feb 2012 [STRIKE]£12,153[/STRIKE] 10674 16.5% Paid

    Halifax Credit Card £4448.6. Loan 1 £3000. Loan 2 £2696.13.

Aiming to be debt free by 31/12/2013.
  • Iphone from 3GS onwards. I would aim for the most for the least cost.
You have App Store, and multifunctionality. You get GPS so you can download Maps useful if you are in a remote place and have some means to recharge your mobile ie a solar charger (on my plans atm).
    Blackberry is going down anyway.
Best to go for Iphone and IMHO go for Ipad as well in 3G versions so you can function anywhere ie in remote country location in foreign land.
Iphone is more hyped, Apple are barstards but it's a better phone unless of course someone knows better and I would get their suggestions as a 'B'phone for another line of usefulness in communications land.
Just because I own an Iphone (praise God!) don't mean Apple can take the !!!!.

I would advise getting Iphone from 32GB onwards, 16GB is too small!
All Iphones's memory is on the device so bigger is better because bigger means you can do more and you always want to do more with your iphone.
I would have a Blackberry as a B phone unless of course there are better options.

    Morning,
Looking to buy a new phone and I am undecided about the Iphone or Blackberry.
    What would you buy???
Depends on what you want the phone to do and how much you've got to spend.

If you want bbm, a physical keyboard and you're not to bothered about having a touchscreen phone or the most apps, then maybe a Blackberry is the right option.

If you want to have an easy to use, powerful phone with the largest selection of apps, and you can live with the limitations (no Bluetooth file transfer, syncing only through iTunes, no micro USB port, no memory card slot, sealed battery, no fm radio, amongst others) then iPhone might be better for you.

It all comes down to what you want from your phone and how much you can afford to pay for it, only you can make that decision.

Why don't you try the iphone and blackberry and see which one you like?
Play with both of them for while.

I have the Blackberry Torch 9800.

All my kids have the Iphone 4 or 4S.

    Would I buy blackberry again?

No way. I think Blackberry have lost the plot and don't know how to keep up anymore. I would go for the iphone with your choice.

I'm not bothered whether one has 10,000 more apps than the other. I just want a good reliable workhorse of a smartphone and sadly my BB is not proving anything like it these days.

Thank you for all your comments I will have a look around and see whats about.
  • With the Iphone for instance you can download Tune In and listen to any station in the world, and local stations, all possible on the Iphone 3GS onwards, a great thing to have in my books.
As for Fan Boy, I hope it is peppered with ruthless cyncism at the way Apple exploits it's users, may I not be blind to better phones though scarred by my bad HTC Desire experience.

iPhones are overpriced for what they are. But I would pick iPhone over Blackberry any time. It's a bit like choosing between Chlamydia and Genital Herpes though haha.

Why not Android? I would not buy anything else.. i.e. Samsung Galaxy S3 is a sexy phone.

I'm on 2 year old Samsung Galaxy S (rooted and flashed) and happy with it.

I've got Apple products too i.e. new iPad.. but I'm not a fan.. not flexible enough for me, expensive apps, compatibility issues with non-Apple products.. yuck!
  • I agree about the Samsung S3 bloody amazing phone and this is from a confirmed Iphone 3GS and would be 3G-4G maxed out Ipad owner!
