I would buy neither, but YOU have to buy what is most suitable for YOU.
The debates will long go on, but one handset is only best for the user when it meets their needs and the other does not.

    More apps on an iphone.

    Easy emails on both.

    Good internet on both.

Blackberry have touch and button keyboards, iphone is all touch screen.

I suspect the latest iphone will cost you more than the latest blackberry and the difference between the latest iphone and older versions is greater than the difference between the latest blackberry and older versions.

I'm with DUTR on this one. I wouldn't buy either, either.
These days it tends to be more about the operating system, rather than the actual phone.
Unless you specifically want access to a feature that Bberry or the iPhone has, then I would advise you to widen your search to include Android and Windows 7 phones (more often referred to as WP7)
They all have their pros and cons, but you'll get a much greater variety of phone and cost with the latter 2.

I have a BB curve...the one with GPS receiver and full keyboard. Its ideal and as BB have more or less run up the flag on the consumer market, there are good deals to be had if it suits you. When is the iphone 16 due..?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

    Here it goes again....:(
Am I the only one sick and tired of all this paranoia and diarrhoea?

Tony5101, could you, please, refrain from mentioning Android unless it is unavoidable? There was no need to mention it in this thread as the OP asked for iPhone and BB only.

I will go for iPhone due to:
    Easy to use os.

You can update iPhone to newer os version. With Android and others you may be waiting months.

iPhone is not known for malware problem. If you check google for malware android you will see that so many people have been tricked into receiving text messages at £5 each. This is mainly due to Android like to make money from the advertisers.

Very good collection of apps. Also all work with iPhone, with others some may not work with your phone. The Sky Go for example will only work with a few Android phones, not all current phones.

The ios6 coming soon is going to have a free satnav and many other functions all for free.

Whatever you can do with BB you can do with iPhone including iMessage.

I have used all four iPhone, Android inc S3, windows phone and black Berry. I prefer to use the iPhone, do cost little more due to way it works, as a main phone however if you want to sped less go for windows Phone.

How do you know what the Op's requirments are?
Blackberry use RIM OS, iphones are subject to malware just as any other OS, malware is not really anything the OP needs to concern himself with.
You have to wait 12 months for the iOS updates.
The BB new curves (9350,9360,9370) have FM radio so the iphones cannot do whatever the blackberry can, imessage is not interchangeable with BB messaging.
BB is more seen with professionals for a reason.
The OP has to decide for himself what his needs are.
Your post TGM is little more than spam AGAIN.

    Already done
  • As DUTR says, what I would buy is not necessarily what is best for you so you need to buy what best meets your needs.

I would buy Android but since you don't list that as an option then here are my thoughts on your options:

    iPhone
Pros: fashionable, lots of apps, easy to use
Cons: EXPENSIVE, no micro-SD slot, battery fixed in, need to use iTunes, EXPENSIVE, desirable to steal

    Blackberry:
Pros: Cheaper, has a keyboard, micro-SD slot, removable battery
Cons: Not as fashionable as an iPhone, hardly any apps

I'm sure there are lots more reasons, but they will get you started.
