    In reply to my
The best cure is to rub their noses in it and give them a smack with a rolled-up newspaper. This method doesn't work too well with the dogs though.:)

Absolute rubbish. The dog simply doesn't connect the cruel action and the reason for it.

Keep calm dear, it was a joke, you can tell by the smiley at the end :).

That is very strange as I would have thought your dog would have gobbled it up :) They're very partial to cat sh1te apparently.

Plus, even if my dog was trained to dig a hole and bury her mess, would I be allowed to let her roam free and poop wherever she wants? No.

My nephew was attacked by a family cat, leaving deep welts and drawing a lot of blood. Was the cat put down? No.

Would a dog have been put down? Of course.

The pet world is completely biased. Dogs must be on the lead, poop must be picked up and they are put to sleep if they attack someone.
Cats can !!!!!! wherever they want (buried or otherwise), roam free and attack people without consequences.

    Fair?

I also live 200 miles from London and have found the dog mess problem is worse than ever. As it cannot be policed properly dog owners who allow it don't care about the consequences of getting caught.
Penalties have to be increased. If it can be proved conclusively through photos or cctv which owners do not clear up after their dog, I would have advocated prison time except that our jails are too full so maybe fines should be drastically increased? I'm sure that members of the public would shop more offenders if they though owners would get more than a just slap on the wrists.

This drives me crazy too
Near my eldest sons School, there is a street which I call 'Dog !!!!! Alley' (not to the Kids mind ;)) and it is always covered in Dog mess!!.

If I ever saw who is responsible for the mess, I would be having serious words with them. It is so disgusting and unnecessary, don't keep a Dog if you can't look after it properly!

I would love to find out who does it and post the poop through their letter box! :D
