Christ almighty ive not been long back in this country and im staggered by the amount of dog poop that is around on high streets and pavements. Have the councils in London decided to cut back on street cleaning programmes and are dog owners becoming more irresponsible then before?
The best cure is to rub their noses in it and give them a smack with a rolled-up newspaper. This method doesn't work too well with the dogs though.:)

This drives me mad, its disgusting. You shouldn't be allowed to have a dog if you can't clear up its poop.

Next door owns a large dog, and though I have never spotted any poop in my garden, she does let it pee up the side of a bush on the edge of my garden. Its made the bush go all discoloured. Good job I'm not too garden-proud!

We took the kids to Bourne Woods as thought it would be a nice walk and the kids can see nature etc, never again, the place stunk, there was dog crap every few yards , we sat on a bench to have a picnic at the car park and must have seen about 20 dog walkers return to there car and not one of them had a doogy doo bag

    We wont return again :(

There are no bins anywhere, seems the forestry commission cant be bothered to install bins

While I agree with you Op, I'm extremely angry at the moment about cats pooing everywhere!

They run wild and poo all over my garden. It is disgusting and foul smelling and has ruined one of my shoes. We got a large dog but the cats still use my garden as a toilet, except now I have to regularly bath my dog because she rolls in it.

Why are cat owners permitted to allow their pets to foul?!!! Drives me mad!! Disgusting creatures.

Strange as cats usually dig a hole & bury it ...

Absolute rubbish. The dog simply doesn't connect the cruel action and the reason for it.

Round here has been getting steadily worse especially over the last five years and usually between the school and the nursery, which is hugely irresponsible imo. Not sure why it is worse some weeks than others too - perhaps certain weathers are more likely to have the bad owners let their dogs out for a walk or something. Frustrating though, as there's not much can be done unless you know who the owner is. :(

Tell that to the cats around here - lazy horrors they are all over the lawn and flat roof!

(and I read the rolled up newspaper thing as to be used on the owners, not the dogs - the owners could definately do with it! :D )

I think you missed the joke...
  • The neighbours cats stopped pooping in my garden pretty soon after I got a whippet :) Cats won't go near my garden now unless they have no sense!

Actually I've just remembered that many years ago, we briefly had a dog that would watch where the cats would have a sh1te, then dig it up and eat it!

    GROSS!!!!!!

Thought you'd all love to hear this ...
