Martin’s champagne brain teaser

What’s the next number in the sequence & why? 106, 107,108,109,111,112,113,114… (clue, it's not 116 or 117). First correct answer with explanation posted here gets a bottle of champagne.

NOTE: As with many sequences there is more than one answer, but I'm looking for a specific one. As a clue, the answer has charm, it's not the obvious “four numbers in a row then miss one” type answer.

Good luck

Martin Lewis

    126.

All start with number 1, 4 numbers had 0 in the middle, then the next four 1, so next one will be 2, and the last number is a sequence 6789 then skip one and another sequence 1234 then again skip one so next number is 6.

Will the prize go to the first correct answer (which could be someone answering with a number at random)? Or to the first correct answer where they also explain why?

    125. All numbers start with 1. First 4 numbers have 0 in the middle. Then miss a number out ie 110. Next 4 have 1 in the middle and end 114. Miss 115. So next will be 125......

I'll have a guess at 125, my reason being ....

The first digit is constant (1), the second digit applies to groups of four numbers (4 x 0, then 4 x 1, so now 4 x 2) and the third digit is ascending??

    So you'd have 125, 126, 127, 128 and then 139 etc.
