I've had a BEKO fridge freezer for 5 years with no problems at all. Also have a BEKO washing machine and tumble dryer and they are fantastic for their price. Look around at the review sites - they are generally rated as very good and in some cases better than more expensive brands.

I bought a Beko Washing Machine - currently on offer with Argos. Had to wait 5 days for it to be delivered. I asked for 12-6pm delivery slot. I then received a text to say it would be delivered between 2-4pm.
    It arrived at 10am!
I plumbed it in despite the instructions supplied being for a completely different model.
It advises to put it on 60oc which took over 2hrs then it just switched off - no spin or drain and water went everywhere.
Phoned Beko customer services which were useless! They told me to put it on again for another 2 hours. Same again. Then i was told that for the first use you have to manually drain the water into a bucket and put it on yet again for another 2 hours!!!!
Now I have a machine full of water. Argos won't remove it until it has no water in. Beko won't send an Engineer out. So now I have to empty the machine by lifting the machine up into a bucket and await collection in 1 week! Argos said they would refund me £179 but what a nightmare. Now I've heard of others with a similar problem and then something about their fridges catching fire!

I think the main issue is that the correct instructions didn't arrive with the machine. It does sound a flaky way to set up a machine for the first time (manually draining it, why??) but at least if the OP had received the right instructions they'd have known how to set it up properly.

Most machines have a very easy way of draining - you shouldn't have to lift anything up. I'd google the model number to get hold of the user guide online and take it from there.

I have a beko cooker that's half broke the knobs stapped round back and can't find any unflammable super glue in shops to fix it.I'm not getting beko again.

    Use Araldite.

It's non-flammable and, for most things, a lot more reliable than superglue.

    True.

In most cases, (obviously not if the pump or relevant part of the control circuitry is faulty), you can turn the machine off, reset the program to off, turn it back on, set it to spin only, and it will immediately drain.

I was going to buy a Beko washing machine from Comet but read so many bad reports of them it put me off..

My cooker's Beko and is still working fine after 12 years. TBH though, I was on the bones of my arse when I first moved in and it was dual fuel for a price I could afford. I'd not choose Beko now if I were looking to replace it.

What do you expect for £179?
It was reduced from £250 - but regardless of the price expect it to work at least once. I read the reviews for it on Argos and every comment rated it - so what do you do? I've never bought a washing machine before so don't have the experience of knowing what to buy. My friend who is a plumber has been out to make sure I set it up correctly - he said it was and that its a fault with the machine. Just await Argos to collect it now.

Another vote for Beko, have had washing machine, dishwasher, FF (only 1 small problem in 8 years) and have got a Beko WM now, 2 years old next month and going fine.
