Sky see, speak & surf package

I'm toying with the idea of getting this package.
I am a Naims broadband customer (£12.99 per month) so with all that's going on there I need to sort out a new provider, and we pay something in the region of £85 per quarter to BT for our telephone bill.
I make it around £495 we are currently paying but if we go to Sky it would be £468 (£18 & £10 Sky+ subs & £11 BT line rental per month) plus the initial cost of £159 for the Sky+ box.
Is it worth going for the Sky+ box or would I be better off buying some other HDD recorder instead?

current offer is £26.00 a month,
if you go with a friend (existing customer) you could up-grade the digibox to a sky+ box for half price around £49 instead of £99 and also by doing it that way you get the installation worth £60 free, you and your friend both get £30 M & S vouchers and do it online to get a further £10 off,
then ring them on
0800 051 2595 ask them to put you through to an adviser and up-grade to the sky+ box that way,

Before you commit to a new contract, make sure that Sky does offer broadband in your area, it is not available everywhere. You can check your line status on the Sky website.0

I've got a friend who already has Sky who I was going to get to recommend me, but are you talking about getting someone else to sign up with me?0 -

I'm wary of broadband from companies such as Sky and Carphone Warehouse who have no experience of providing it. If you're happy with your existing ISP you might be as well sticking with them, otherwise check ADSL Guide for some recommendations for another one.0

Hi in october 06, I could only get connect bb from sky at £17 a month
so went with bt total bb
just for the equipment if anything,
but in october 07 it maybe that I will be able to get the middle package £10 a month,
so I am hoping to go with them then,
also I will then change my phone to anytime calls for £5 a month,
this gives me unlimited 01 02 anywhere,
as for the tv I am on the movie world package which is £37 a month,
so hopefully I will save something for all the hassel of changing
but I doult it'll be much,
so see speak and surf is not £26 a month if you want what you've already got,
the £26 a month is the cheapest package,
but if I save £5 a month I suppose it'll worth it,
every little counts,
and £5 x 12 is £60 a year,
better off in my pocket than others, I say,
cw
+ I get some new equipment as well.
Pls be nice to all MSer's
