Thank you.
What I have done in the mean timeis to send off my £10 postal order requesting info on all charges etc... Further to my previous post, their letter stated that it would cost me £20 per monthly statement (£240 per year with them).
Guess the DPA information request costing £10 will do it. I belive I was charged somewhere in the region of £1500.
Will update site to help others in due couse once I hear from them...
Thank you once gain.
I don't know how they think they could charge £20 per statement! I think this would go against the Freedom of Information Act! Good luck; it took a while but I got my statements in the end - paid £10. Threaten them with the Information Commissioner if any probs.0 -
This is the reply I have got today from NRock:
This letter only contains the information you have requested. I have detailed below a list of the default charges that we applied to your loan from Sep 01 to present.
(It then listed 4 charges - £25, £30, £47, £25 totalling £127. These charges are listed as Sundries, not explained as whterher it is a charge for writing to me informing my account was in arrears etc). I was unfairly dismissed which led to my troubles.
I must point out that we will not refund the charges that we have applied to your account. I believe we have clearly and unambiguously notified you of these charges, as an express term, prior to entering into the mortgage agreement. The media press attention refers to bank account charges, overdragt fees and credit card fees. (Surely, most bank accounts, CC accounts have such terms and we have had payouts etc).
I hope the information provided clarifies matters to you. Please note that if I do not hear from you within eight weeks from the date of this letter, I will consider this issue resolved and I will close your complaint.
Is this their standard bogof letter? Do I still continue to respond to them askig for them to pay up or go to court. Advised much appreciated.
Thank you.0
