Data / internet on T-mobile?

Hi,
I have just recently got a Samsung mobile on the T-Mobile network that came with a £10 top-up.
I have found out it is on their PAYG "Everyday Plan" by dialling 150.
I can't seem to find their call charges, and more importantly, what there data charges are?
Everything just seems to say £1 a day...
I'm interested in this PAYG "30 day Internet Booster" for a month of internet for £5.
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/price-plans/pay-as-you-go/boosters/
Text MONTHWEB to 441
Does it come straight off your credit? I have been playing with the internet on the £10 top-up that came with the phone and it's already under £4 left
Just wanted to ask before I text anything. And does it start immediately, or the 1st of July to 31st July?
I also read this on their PAYG terms page:
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/terms-and-conditions/pay-as-you-go/
If you're a new or upgrading customer buying a pay as you go Android phone, you'll get 30 days free UK internet, with a fair use policy of 500MB. Just text 'FREE MONTH WEB' free to '441'.
Well, I'm a new customer but its not an Android phone, it's a Samsung Wave Y that uses the Bada operating system:

Just a bit apprehensive of trying the FREE MONTH WEB text message!

Hello There,
Data costs are only a few pence per MB but it soon adds up, you are correct in saying we do have a £1 cap so however much you use it will stop at a pound for that day.
Feel free to try the Free web code, the system will check the handset serial but you may get lucky and it might work. Alternatively if you Txt the £5 booster code as you stated I can confirm the booster will be valid and run for 30 days form the day you txt in.
It can take up to 20 mins to be active on the account but if you keep sending a free sms to the short code '150' with the letters AL, we will txt back with your remaining credit and what boosters are active on the account
Hope this helps

Thanks Lee!
So, if the free web code doesn't work and I want to pay for the £5 30 day internet booster, does the money come off my credit pretty much instantaneously? I have just under £5 balance left so I would need to top up another £5 first!
And, would I have to then top another £10 in July then to then be able to pay another £5 for the 30 day internet booster in July when this one runs out, like 18th July to 18th August period
i.e. is the booster dependant on having spent £10 a month on a top up as I only want the internet! I can't afford £15 a month on PAYG.0 -
Thats correct my friend, we will take the £5.00 from your credit as soon as the booster goes onto your account which is virtually instantly.
The internet booster doesn't rely on any minimum top up at all you just need to have £5.00 credit to purchase a booster should you wish too. It is done in one off purchases and not recurring payments. If you purchased the booster it would expire 30 days later and if you require another booster just txt in to purchase a new one when the old one expires.
Just so you know there are better plans we have which you would gain more from, ie PAYG Talk plan which gives 100 mins of calls free should you have topped up £10 the month before. Similarly PAYG Text plan which gives unlimited txt messages if you have topped up £10 in the previous month. Both of these plans will also give the web booster in addition for free if you have topped up £15. The beauty of these bonus plans is that we do not touch the credit and it is left for you to use as you wish.
Hope that helps a little

T Mobile are probably the best "Mainstream" network for PAYG smartphones. The 6 months of data for £20 is excellent value. I've gone a bit over the allotted 500MB and not seen any charges either.
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/price-plans/pay-as-you-go/boosters/ and then see "Internet Boosters"
If you have an O2 or unlocked phone then Giffgaff is also worth a look.
I've been generally pleased with T-Mobile.0 -
Thanks all.
FREE MONTH WEB didn't work for me so I got the £5 30 day internet booster, great value!
Only problem now is I have lost all my internet settings, or rather the internet doesn't work at all
Google won't load, neither will Yahoo, or ANY sites, I keep getting some error messages
What can I do please? I need to access the internet while I'm away.
Don't know if its the Samsung phone, or the T-Mobile data settings that are corrupted, I just need to fix it!
Any help please?.0 -
Just noticed it has changed from saying T-Mobile on the screen to T-Mobile Orange......?.0

Yh it will do that if your orange signal is stronger than t mobile, nothing to worry about! Up the dale lol0 -
Thanks.
Still can't get t'internet on this mobile, what's gone wrong.0 -
Check the settings as follows
1) Mobile data is on
via
Settings
Wireless & Networks
Mobile Networks
and then check that "Data connection" has a tick.
2) Then select Access Point Names
You should see T-Mobile selected
Then check the settings which should be- APN: general.t-mobile.uk
- Username:
- Password:
If this is all set right then it should work.0 -
Right *work head on*
Firstly as Careful said that is correct, what samsung model are you using?
If android based then it will be Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks. In there will be 'use packet data' make sure this is ticked. Secondly some Android handsets have a quirk where they refuse to use mobile data whilst using our orange signal. To overcome this tick 'Data roaming'.
In the top bar of the screen do you have any symbols that look like 3G or H with an up/down arrow?
Where was the handset purchased from?
