  • She's having one right now so will give it an extra one!

TBH I'm not sure if I'm better going to bed (or at least upstairs to watch TV & see the poor cats, who've been sadly left to their own devices for much of the past 24 hours) as she gets up every time I go somewhere which is such a shame when she's settled & sleeping..

Yep, been there. On the sofa to be exact with Bruce draped all over me- and that was only when he had conjunctivitis!

How is she this morning Rising?

  • I nearly slept down here but I don't have a camp bed (or similar) so gave in and went to bed.

She's still very tired - we had a short walk (about 10 mins) and she came in and crashed out for around an hour when we got back.

She is eating well though which is good - and has taken the antibiotics in with her food!

She then had another sleep for a couple of hours and has just had a wee play with her toys - however, she looks like she's about to crash out again.

    Poor wee lamb

  • Oh it is OnAndUp she's so not herself :( and has slept most of the day again - she is bright enough when she's up, it's just not for very long.

Funnily enough GR she usually drinks a fair bit but noticed earlier the bowl's hardly been touched today - she doesn't seem dehydrated (skin going back quickly etc) and not sure if it's cause she's on chicken & rice which has more moisture in than kibble.

I did put a fair bit of liquid in that this morning (and will do the same tonight) but not sure if there's anything else I can try to tempt her with - any suggestions?

    Is she any better now?
  • Still sleeping a lot :( However, she was up for a while and had a play with her toys for a few mins & and barked at absolutely nothing ;) and is bright enough when she's up.

Her nose is cold & wet so that's a good sign & hoping that means her temp is still at normal level.

She's just had her dinner (all eaten incl antibiotics) and I put extra liquid in it to try to get a bit more fluid into her.

In a way, although I'm dreading leaving her tomorrow (and if in any doubt won't be) I think it may do her some good to get a proper sleep - everytime I get up to go anywhere she gets up so she's really not had a decent length of sleep IYKWIM.

DMs dog had something very similar (symptom wise) a few months ago and she slept for the first week nearly constantly and it took her a good 3 weeks to get over it:(.

Sun's just come out (was pelting down before) so may take her for a very quick (10 min) lead walk around the block shortly.
