The order is against my partner's share of the house - just how do you split a house in half? Exactly, you can't, so I am being forced to sell my half too, putting my child and I on the streets. When I say forced, I mean that the CSA take possession and evict us and sell it themselves, but I still have to pay the council tax etc until they sell it, they also have the power to sell it well below market value, meaning they are robbing my child and I of the true value of equity (which won't be much anyway). I have been to court twice, the judges listened to my plight that I have the greater beneficial interest in the property, then granted the order for sale anyway. They are afraid of the CSA as it is a government body.
So is it your partner or your ex partner? I'm confused.....
Trust me the CSA are not influencial at all they are completely incompetent in my experience.
is council tax not in joint names as joint owners?
Go to CAB tell them that you cannot afford to leave the house while they sell it. They'll sort something out with courts that allows you to stay. You can also sort with courts that as you are not the party in debt you refuse to sell your half which means they can find a buyer for half the house or you can buy him out.0

I am not equally liable for his debts though. We are not married, my child is not his, the house used to be mine before he moved in and pressured me into remortgaging taking much of the remortgage equity for himself, whilst I was suffering from depression. I do blame myself for being so gullible, but my God how the vultures have taken advantage of the fact his name is now on MY property!
His name means its a shared property unfortunately. Personally though the only vulture I can see is your partner/ex partner who didnt pay for his children and then made you remortgage your house for his benefit..0

Just want to add that I have tried my best to get him to pay his debts off, but this man is a stubborn manipulator who cares more about winning than he does about my daughter and I. I have tried to get him to leave for four years, even though I would be left with his debts charged to the house and a huge mortage that I could not afford. He refused to leave without being given yet more money from me, even though I would be left paying his debts via the mortgage.
i sympathise - my sister is going through similar (but related to custody, rather than CSA) because the ex is playing power games with no regard for his own son.
There is little i can add except make sure you have the best advice possible be it from the CAB, solicitor, human rights/child welfare angle (i would even be contacting newspapers about this) make sure you exhaust all possibilities...0
