Yay - got home tonight to find house tidied for me and idea for tea sat on the kitchen worktop - obviously dh is allergic to veg so I nipped out and frugally got a red onion, a courgette, a big mushroom and then stir fried chicken with noodles and a sauce from the stash. Very yum and the kids nibbled a few bits of veg too, dd loves stir fried courgette.

    On with the reports now....................

    Afternoon peeps.

My tum is a bit gippy today - I blame the lemon gloopy thing we had at dinner last night as I felt quite ill immediately after I ate it. I have started packing again now that I have 20 large sturdy boxes from the removal men. I have started putting books in a box but after 20 books have gone in, I cannot lift it so I have no idea how the chaps will cope with it. I think I will pack clothes away instead as they will be easier and lighter to deal with.

I have paid off my visa card in full today so that is one less debt to pay:j

Dinner tonight will be chicken (trying to eat the freezer contents) with veg.

No news on the job front either and I need to do some applications today too. Too much work, so little time.:(

Horace - try to pack everything else first and then do the books. You may need to put them into smaller boxes (wine boxes are good) and they can put those into the bigger boxes if they want to.

Migraine today, which is annoying as it has been lovely and sunny so I could have had a long walk, got some washing done and maybe even done some work!

Been to docs about back and got more drugs :jself-referral form for physio and name of a pilates person and a nice chat about holidays - oh and after looking at my back she would be happy to sign me off for a few days immediately (pretty pointless at this time of year and because sitting still and loafing at home makes my back much worse!) But nice to know there is always that option.

Dh did the shopping today and has managed in his words, to do a big shop - now finding out all the things he didn't get like fruit!

Thanks Dora and TDQ, am feeling very much like a ton weight has lifted off me now, even the thought of more decorating isn't enough to dampen my spirits!

    Fab news APP.
Great that you have done those reports Dora.

I have packed a box with shoes (keeping a few pairs out in case I need them), I have also packed a box with books (not all the books as some are large and weighty so I will load them in the car and take them down bit by bit. I managed to trip over the boxes tonight too and have banged my knee so it will be purple tomorrow:(

Had a chat with mum tonight as she & dad have been looking at kitchen appliances. I decided that although they are offering to buy a Zanussi A rated washing machine that there is nothing really wrong with my current Whirlpool which is about 3-4 years' old other than the drum rubbing on the rubber when it spins causing it to shriek:eek: At least that has saved them some money. Mum told me about a cooker but it is no good because it is grey which won't go with a cream kitchen and she wants it to be nice for me because when I was married I had to put up with an awful lot and ended up having to live in a hovel. If they were going to rent to tenants then they would have installed the grey cooker but I will have white. We have agreed that they will get a cooker, cooker hood and fridge/freezer. Mum suggested that I sell my current washing machine to my landlord but I am not because he will want it for free and I don't feel so inclined to help him out. In fact I can take my letterbox with me because in sheer desperation I bought my own because he was too tight and too lazy to provide them (although he has now). I don't need the letterbox either.

On mum's instruction, I have ordered 36 perennial plants which will be despatched towards the end of July for £4.90 (the cost of postage), she has said that she will pot them up and bring them on until such time as they are stronger and ready to plant out.

Although there have been times when I havent always seen eye to eye with my mum (she and I are so similar) - I love her and dad to bits.
