Very chuffed to have made about 8lb of strawberry jam from homegrown strawberries - they just keep coming. :j
Goodness I've had ONE strawberry so far this year - thats a single strawb and not a 1lb. The weather has been so pants they are not ripening. Mind you it was very nice but 'can I have some more'........

Hey ladies,
I am pleased to say that the decorating is finished! We now have a DS who is very proud of his "Star Wars" bedroom
I am very relieved that i no longer have to share my bed with him now he is back in his own room, talk about a fidgety thing!
Hope your DS is soon feeling much better clare, sounds very painful. Sounds like you are doing wonders with the packing Horace, i don't think i will ever move, judging by the amount of stuff we had to move to decorate, i dread to think what the rest of the house and loft would produce:rotfl:0 -

DD1 passed her finals with top marks:D
No work on the horizon so a bit of a loss at what to do next - lurching from more study to find something 'just for now'

I know it's harder now, but when I finished I didn't have anything lined up. I started with a weekend waitressing job, then found a job as a receptionist that finished just in time for me to get to my Friday shift, and then added in some freelance research around it. With all three jobs I probably didn't even earn my petrol money, but I was working before many of my contemporaries and eventually got the graduate training contract I was after. It's hard, but proving you have the ability to work is probably what most employers are looking for, although they will understand that people are staying on to study longer as they don't feel that they have many options.0 -

Afternoon peeps.
I have been incredibly lazy today, I went and taxed my car, got the forms to change my driving licence, and even a form to get a replacement registration document (no doubt as soon as I have completed it and sent it off with a cheque then the original will turn up:mad:). I didnt want to come home straightaway so nipped into a local caff for a bacon & egg butty and a mug of tea.
I have rung up about the water meter and now know where it is, my water will be sorted due to the move. I need to ring up Eon to take over the account. Not done so much and fell asleep on the sofa - so no packing done today although I am planning what to pack away and what to give to the charity shop.
Hope everyone is fine and dandy.
Igamogam - your DD should go temping at least until she finds something more permanent. Well done on passing her finals though.0 -

I had no idea what to next when I graduated and that was 30 years ago:eek: Think she is feeling the anticlimax of it all. She has some work to see her over the summer but is uming and ahing as to whether to take it:mad: needless to say there is a BF in the equation:o. Snap - just met a mate at the supermarket and it seems we both look as bad as the other feels.....its been a long tough week.
Time for strong coffee and a plan of action for the evening, to do the minimum only...and fingers crossed something I like on the gogglebox.
