Picking up from where Memory Girl left off with The Matrix - Re-Wired and The Matrix Re-Evolution. We are setting off again on The Matrix Marches On

I am sure that Memory Girl won't mind me pinching the first thread from The Matrix Re-Wired with a few alterations:

Quick catch up to help you get up to speed with some of the chat occurring:

When we get stuck – we revert to doing stuff in "15 minute chunks” – because we believe that we can do anything for 15 minutes.

Loads of us have read “The Secret” and we are taking baby steps towards being more positive thinkers and having better expectations that the universe will provide for us what we “need” if not what we “want”.

We are all a work in progress.

We also talk a lot about “Frogs” – that’s from a book by Brian Tracey called “Eat That Frog” and its about doing the scariest thing on your to-do list first thing in the day to get it over and done with.

We have a private forum (called The Matrix) which was set up to keep all the chat about our businesses, start-ups and mentoring from a group of Personal Development “Guru’s” and otherwise off this forum so as not to breach its rules. This is a secure, invisible to the internet, forum so anything we say or explore on there is confidential.

So what’s going to be our challenge on this thread? ............. well lots of us have had a pretty rough time financially in the past and that’s where we start – but we are more about bringing abundance into our lives in every way that focusing on how “poor” we are. We like to remind people “we are skint, not broke!!” Skint is temporary, broke is permanent.

We also love a challenge – these ladies have supported some of us to DFW Status (£10k in 22 months in the case of MG) and are now encouraging others to explore starting sideline business, pay off their mortgages or just simply getting more cheerful about the challenge of living in a recession. So if you want to play, jump on in.

Our Motto - "Together we can do anything" - and together we have done some amazing projects.

Here’s to a positive and supportive DFW journey with the “The Matrix Marches On” The title refers to the fact that we can continue on our DFW journey without Memory Girl by changing our thoughts and attitudes ourselves and move forward at any time towards a more compelling future.

So pour yourself a cuppa, bake some hob nobs and pull up a chair to join in – although be warned................

WE CAN STILL REALLY TALK !!!!!

    Hello Dragon..oooh Jaffa Cakes...yum.

Glad to see folks making their way here.

I am still holding out for the universe to deliver a home and a job. I have been to the dole office today to see an advisor, again she commended me on my efforts to find work. I sign on tomorrow. I have been spending an odd 15 mins here and there packing up my flat, I seem to have accumulated a load of stuff (probably why I am skint:(). I have also been asking for removal quotes - some really are quite bizarre and already I am stressing about moving. I think it would cost me the same if I hired a van and got some chums to help as it would to hire a professional team.

I have a chicken breast out of the freezer so I will cook that later with some oven chips and peas and gravy.

    Hi Claire

Sorry to hear of your router problems. A lot has happened in a week. MG has left MSE for a while to concentrate on her own blog and business and it was decided that a new thread was required to carry on where she left off. A new thread was made by me today.

I haven't moved as yet, I know that money was transferred from savings into the bank and that mum was speaking to the solicitors on Monday and as yet I have heard nothing. We did buy 3 blinds for the house and looked at curtains in Dun*lm but rather than rush out and buy a load of curtains I shall make do with what I have and what I can rustle up from mum's old stash. The blinds were bought in the sale, I have a sage green one for the kitchen (the kitchen is an odd shade of orange/plum but it will be green) and I have teal for the loo and bathroom.

I spend time packing and already I am bored with it all - I gave notice and I am moving out on 30 June:eek: I have been looking for removal companies and so far have had one or two sensible quotes yet many more seem to be scam merchants who are unable to provide a proper quote other than a verbal one.

Oh, I had an interview for a job last week and hope to hear tomorrow night as they were interviewing more this week. Fingers crossed I get it despite turning up 15 mins late:mad: (I got lost on the ruddy ringroad but I did call twice to say that I would be late - it took me over an hour to do a journey that would normally take 15 mins:o).

oh why did MG decide to not be on here anymore? Can't she do both? Will she be on the "otherside"?

Hi Claire, its a bit awkward - if you go on the old thread and look for MGs post of 11 June (her birthday) you will get the gist of it. If you then click on MGs homepage from the links under her name then you will be able to see her blog where she explains more. What happens to the "other side is a question I asked her and she is still thinking about it. Lots of us are in touch through the blog though, you will recognise many of the names
