  • Wow - I've been away since last Thursday and everybody seems to be doing really well - onwards and upwards I say, or should that be downwards?!?!?!?!?

After a mental, alcoholic weekend away with the girls, I haven't touched a drop since I returned home on Sunday, so I've moved another 3 virtual bottles to my Next Account (£16.50), so that's knocked another 3% off the balance and also taken my DFD down by another month.

Pity I missed the free listing day on Ebay - still have some tat to declutter here once I figure out where the lead is for the phone to upload piccies onto the laptop. We have about 3 old Xbox's here to put on Ebay for spares/repair. Has anyone sent Xbox's to musicMagpie before? Just wondered if it would be more successful than Ebay.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Hello,

I haven't posted on here for ages so thought it might be time I did an update, I have now paid of a massive 29.5 % and feeling really good about this. (I'm no 20)

  • DOH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhere along the line I cannot add up percentages. £550 (original amount on Next card), less £308 payments = £242 balance or in other words 53%

No wonder I have money problems :o

  • Hi all, I'm back again after a stressful week. My little girl got rushed into hospital on Weds. They thought it was her appendix so performed the op and took it out (except it was'nt - it was an infection which was attacking her stomach and bowel). Thankfully she is home now and after some kick butt antibiotics is now slowly on the mend. Then my mum got rushed in on Friday with a suspected heart attack (luckily it was not but it is a nasty chest infection which is causing her herat to beat irregularly).

Needless to say I have not managed much %'ing in the last week and I had to cancel a couple of craft fairs which I had booked as my family will always come first.

I have though got £100 from previous craft fairs, £75 from mystery shopping, £35 from Quidco and £10 from reward account waiting to be paid in so once I can actually get to the bank I will be able to declare another 11%.

Plus I have craft fairs booked for both Saturday and Sunday this week so my fingers are crossed for more %'s soon.

Well done everyone on all your progress xxx
What a nightmare, I hope this week is more peaceful for you and your family and that everyone has a speedy recovery.
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Don't have any more percentages to report right now but I'm feeling rather pleased with myself today - I've done all my xmas shopping and not paid a penny for it (I had a gift card to use up) and at work there is a reward scheme for employees who have worked well. They have a website where people are rewarded with "points" and they can be spent on various items. I didn't particularly need anything on the website so I sent away an email asking if they could send me Open University vouchers instead. They've emailed me back today to say that they've ordered them for me so that will be 0.4% less that I will have to find :)
    Thank you competition posters!

    £308 / £5.50 is 56% paid off!! - you've saved more than you think! :T
  • Hi all, I'm back again after a stressful week...

Sorry to hear you've had such a week craftingmad. It's very good that the true causes of the illnesses have been found though and that your daughter is on the mend. Sending you some positive thoughts during what will be a stressful time no doubt! As you rightly said, family comes first!

Hi, I found your thread the other day and love it. Please sign me up. I am really in need of sorting my debts in as undaunting a way as possible.
I just finished uni and have got myself a decent job. I have decided to use this 1% savings on my debts that I am paying interest on. Once that is done, I will look at the other debts I have. One is on 0% for next 8 months so I will worry about that later. Other amounts are money I owe to family that was lent to help me through uni. :o
So my first target is £2497. So 1% = £24.97
    🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11  £11,300/£11300
    Target met.
    💥PAYDBXMAS22  #11 £5000/£5000 target met.
    PAYDBXMAS23 #26 £5000/£5000 paid

Bloody Hell! Really? I give up - me and numbers definitely don't get on! :D

Basically, when it's gone, it's gone and I'm gonna have a mahoosive bottle of wine to celebrate! In fact, !!!!!! that - I'm gonna buy one of those boxes of the stuff :rotfl:

    Cheers LMUD
