    I've been Money Tipped!
I sold a safety gate for £10 on gumtree so that's more towards my loan. Still selling on ebay and transfering an extra money onto my debt.

I've worked out since May 2012 I have paid off an extra 6 months monthly payments.

    Please can I join you?
A bit about me.Wrong side of 60 but at least I'm entitled to a free bus pass.
Happily single.Lots of clutter all over the place.
What I would like to do is get rid of some of the "great items"/clutter/RUBBISH!!!!!.
Like to get £1,000 by this time next year, vouchers or cash ,I don't really mind.
A few cheapo bits on e-bay at the moment. As they are Christmas crafty things ,just on for 3 days. Going to look at survey sites to see if I can cash out on any of them.
Later going to look back to the beginning of this thread, with a notebook in hand for some good ideas.
Think 1% is £10 so hopefully will have something to add soon.

  • Hey everyone,

Been away from here for a few days due you extra hours at work :D (not that ill see the money for that until 21st dec).

%'s are coming in slow short term though :(, just 1% to declare this week bringing my total up to 50%. The lady I babysit for was sick this week so was at home and didnt need me.

O my dad did give me the £25 M and S voucher that came extra from a cash back site when i switched him to sky last month so when that is spent that will be another 1%. Just have to decide if im buying for xmas or for me :rotfl:

The trip to the cinema last week wasnt as much of a disaster, my friend was very apologetic and insisted she pay for my cinema ticket and most of my train journey home, plus she gave my dad petrol money for taking us there.

Trying to make a jobs list for today as i seem to be wasting too much of my time doing very little. Dads asked me search out vouchers for his christmas shopping for him - already found him a £20 off £40 from the body shop, and he easily spends that each xmas in there so he was happy. If i find anymore like that ill post.

Going to try and see if a can dig up 2% today, going to try and get myself another babysitting client - with all the xmas parties that are coming up and sure theyll be something. I even have references now too :D.

  • Hi Everyone

Well it's not been so much of a debt repayment month this month as we've bought all of our Christmas presents and done a few minor updates to the house such as the hallway that was in a mess, however we knew it was coming so the goal this month was not to get into anymore debt. There is a little money still left in my account though so we might just manage a % extra! There's also going to a be a dip in salaries this month aswell due to the other halves summer job being over so time to tighten our belts a little more. Debtbegone have you looked into Yodel a few friends have told me they have made a fair bit of extra income doing courier service as a self employed courier and apparently are quite flexible. My other half is calling them today to look into it for himself!

Ahwell, back to work, I have some balance sheet recs to do! Whoop!

    Take care all!

  • im going to need to re-jig my figures as ive been rather clever balance transfering to keep a perpertual 0% rate! but it means i now have 2 cc with small balances rather than 1 cc with a mahoosive balance!
so....my new figures are CC1 £1930 so 1% would be £19.30 - im hoping this month to pay off a big chunk of that at 22% but will update at the end of the month - will update sig but can LMU update my stats

    member 102 1% = £19.30 so far paid 0%

Fiverr is mostly US customers, so it would be best stick to digital things that you can just send them via e-mail. Posting things just cost too much.
(There's more choice than you'd think with digital products, I've got a long list I always consider - I'll post it up if anyone's interested)

With FiveSquids that's more UK based, so if it's within the size of a first class letter then you can easily post things with 1 stamp & still make a profit. Remember to factor in the cost of everything - including the cost of the envelope and petrol if you drive to the post box!

With Fiverr.com it's in dollars and you only get $4 net so £2.52 total!!!!

With fivesquids you get £4 net per gig so that's a bit more profitable.
I've done 10 tasks on fivesquids so far. Mine are a mix of writing and posted gifts.

Don't forget - it's £5, people aren't expecting miracles. If what you are offering saves someone an hours work or a lot of researching - it's a good idea. If it is something they don't have the skills for themselves - that's great too.

It needs to be something you can easily pull together in a few minutes. If it takes you longer than 30 mins then it's not really worth your time.

A lot of people use software to their advantage. So for example, a copy of photoshop costs a lot and learning to use it takes time - which is why you will see a lot of creative jobs on there.

One of the most successful gigs I've seen was a guy with report writing software, he could send reports out all day but people were pleased with the results because they didn't have access to that software otherwise.

Unless you can find something really easy to produce, maybe something else might be more profitable - like UserTesting.com
