Thanks to people like, TBeckett, Cristal and Cwmbran Male to name but a few, I can take it over the £30k mark.

Went to Barcelona for 4 nights in March and had a refund for £652 back, in April.

Hi budgetflyer, I was confused by the description on their website (like they put twin room on the first line and 1 Double/ twin Superior on the second line ) Therefore I assumed the second line was describing Double room or twin Superior. And I thought they were intend to get couples money by setting Double bed to a highly price as Twin superior. I thought I were clever enough to find this loophole and try to bargain this. (as I had checked through hotelscomparison and it said Hotelopia Double/Twin superior match with hotelpronto Double offers...) Ofcause I didn't get my refund since it was a Double Superior and I found they usually describe hotel like this. They said they didnt put Double/Twin Standard because they dont have Double Standard currently and not saying if you want Double then pay more!

I know I am very very stupid and please please please people dont confused by their description (maybe it is only me who got confused)

When I tried to bargain at the beginning they managed to delete the Double/Twin Superior option and now they put it up again! So people please do double and double check to make sure dont get fight back by mistake!



Btw, I do agree the price differential is dictating the choice of hotel because at the beginning i was so want to have a nice 4* or 3* hotel with nice location and good quality. And acutally I end up with paying 20pounds for my penalty. BTW, I am looking for 12 JUN 2007 ~ 16 JUN 2007 paris please have a look for me if you are free. I am so afraid to get charge again

The DD guarantee is now only valid for a max of 2 nights Christalmemo, so if you try to claim on a 4 night break they will knock it back, or at best just refund you 2 nights.As you are booking an overpriced room in the first place, this would cancel out any benefit. So you need to book 2 nights with EJH and 2 nights with cheapest other supplier.

effective price £158-£72= £86 (for 2 nights)

Effectively you are saving only £36 on your 4 days. 86+122 (208) as opposed to 122 + 122(244) if you booked it all with EJH and didnt claim it would be £316
