Damn, I think I've cocked up!

I thought I was onto a winner for a 4* in Barcelona. The hotelopia price was £514. Alpahrooms was £339.60. DTD was £348.80 making total cost of hotel £165.20.

I booked the £514 rate with EJH. I then submitted a claim against the AR rate of £339.60 BUT after I submitted it, I returned to AR and clicked on the rate showing only to get a screen saying that rate was no longer available. Yet it was showing as an option when I clicked through from the hotel comparison website.

This seems misleading to me!

I guess the claim will be rejected now because they won't be able to confirm the rate is available. Should I have tried to go through the entire booking with AR up to point of payment before submitting the claim?

UPDATE: Phew, panic over - it must have been a glitch as I can go through now and the £339.60 is confirmed. Ding dong. Just hope that claim goes through ok.

Just wondered how strict EJ are when it comes to the description of the rooms.

Have found the Luna Park in Arenal, Majorca AI for 7 nights 2 adults 1 child and 1 infant from 14th April:

EJ - Double/Twin with Air Conditioning - £313

QuickRooms - Twin - £232.47

If this isn't acceptable does anyone know of any other hotels close to Palma, doesn't have to be AI?

Does anybody know if the laterooms.com prices qualify for the moneyback guarantee? Which websites included in the searches on https://www.hotelscomparison.com are exempt from the offer? Don't want to book and find out they aren't included!

I returned from Krakow yesterday and am already looking for our next break. I see that a few of you have expressed an interest in Krakow, so I thought I would share my experience with you, as easyjet deals seem to be thin on the ground.

I booked before this thread was started, so keen to find a good deal I found the 5* Sheraton had an offer which allowed you to book directly with their Starwood Preferred Guest programme and they would confirm a 10% discount on the lowest price found. I searched through kelkoo and found Asiarooms were the cheapest. We stayed in a deluxe double room with an extensive buffet breakfast at 106.2 euros per night inc tax. (deluxe rooms are usually190 euros at this time). No upfront charges, the bill was paid on leaving the hotel.

The hotel was superb. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Some have said they have had a reply within 24 hours, others can take 7-10 days, no idea why. Mine took about 10 days, my wifes took 3 days.
